I havn't been here much lately, I pretty much walked away when UNIT5302 walked out. Seemed like a around, then, and the time when the "post count" we removed because of over posting that things really started to slide down hill.

Initally I was just spending a lot less time online. Then when I picked up my cobra, the lack of people knowing about these cars here caused me to jump on corral. The windsor power section has really dropped off, after a lot of the regulars left, seems like theres hardly any people who know their stuff to post answers there now.

Honestly I really miss all the kill stories in street racers corner.

I agree having moderators that you NEVER hear from really causes a forum to die. In all honesty I think getting some zelous moderators ready to kick the forums back to life would really help.

Also the expansion of all the new forums hurts posting. I think its better to have 4-5 forums heavily packed with posts than 12 of them that see ocassional posting.

Can you pull up some of the winners from a while back and see whos still here?

Well, I'm still here too. I do miss posts from Unit, Sky, Mr.50 and that Crazy so-and-so as well as some others.

Some newer to the board seem to post good info too and I appreciate the insight..

I could care less about the number of forums, I only read the ones I'm interested in anyway.

This place definately needs some moderators who actually visit.

I do to a certain extent. MW is laid out failry well, but for example, I don't think their needs to be a separate power adder forum. If you want to put a blower on a mod motor, post in Modular Madness. If you want to spray a windsor, post it Windsor Power. IMO, there is no need for a forum dedicated just to power adders. Same with the detailing forum. I'd rather just see that stuff in one of the tech forums or even the BOL.

Also, I agree that voting on who's who is tough. It is not that newer members or those with lower posts counts are any less valuable, but if you aren't posting a lot, how can people get to know you and decide who is who?

Let me also add this. I think Mr. 5.0 said it very well. It seems like most of us are lurking around, so we need to take it upon ourselves to start posting.

But, I get turned off by some members because when I reply to a thread they have started, they never come back and leave another reply. This has happened a few times in the Windsor power forum. I am by no means a mechanical genious, but I remember when I first got my Stang how helpful this site was. So, when I see a new post sitting there with no one replying, I try to jump in with my limited knowledge and least give them some idea on how to solve their problem. But, when I do that, it seems that it may be weeks before that person responds, if they even do at all. That becomes frustrating and takes the fun out of posting and trying to help others. People (like me) who respond to threads want updates on what has happened.

Groups change. It's hard to be all things to all people.

I agree with the above. I have not had a Mustang long or been here long but it seems like a nice enough place and I have surely learned a lot. I will try to think up something contraversial to post. I didn't realize we were doing that!!!! But, I have always thought red was a bad color for a Mustang....

Don't mean to be flipant but I guess I don't know what I am missing since I have not been here that long.

Red and black ROCK on any Mustang. Black sucks to keep clean and red fades, but I still love them. I hate fad colors like yellow and polk a dots. White doesn't shine very well, but I like it too.

Come on, is there ANYTHING better than a black or red vert stang with a tan interior and top? Or, am I just biased?

(How's this for a little contoversy?)

Triple black is the best for a vert. I am not a fan of black cars with non-black tops.

Every now and then I lurk on this site. Far from what you call a regular anymore. When Unit left, things started going down hill. Mr 5.0, Skyman, Lizard King, BlueGT, BriZ and a handfull of others kinda slipped away also, and things got kinda slow...Real Slow.

No offense to the people that still post here, but I found it very hard to get any response for a Hot Topic Post, contraversial (I know...I always have said I suck at Spelling, Mr 5.0 use to make me look so much better) , or anything other than simple canned responses. No challenge's, no intersting views and perspectives and those that did challenge werent really even worth debating with, they had canned responses also.

My Momma told me so thats why, my friend that runs negative 3's say nope, well I read in the weekly world news that....., My daddy says your wrong, well because such and such member things your wrong I think so too because he's cool and stuff, because i cant do such with such you must be lying. and so on and so on.

I like black mustang also(since I own two of them) but recently I've come to like orange mustangs and yellow stangs as well.
Man, there is a sweet orange/black mach 1 in the showroom floor here in town.

I am still here. I lurk couple times a month now. Its just not the same as it used to be. It seems this place turned into a family channel. I like the wars and the ball busting but that is all gone. New faces and no regulars suck. It seems the spark is gone. Very good site though and lots of info. I come here mostly for BO and Street racers corner to see what SKy, Sedanman and EZ are up to even over there is dead. To be honest Josh and a couple of others are the only ones keep me coming here. If none of those guys were here, I highly doubt I would even post, just lurk.

James

p.s. AND YOU CANT SAY ****!! <----See?!
