Exhaust mods opinions wanted
I have recently purchased a 2001 GT 4.6 all stock. I am wanting to to get a new exhaust system for it. What is the best set up for the buck. (no cats wanted) If i replace the all but the manifolds, will I be able to replace them at a later date with out messing up the new parts?

Re: Exhaust mods opinions wanted
a lot of people seem to like the mac pro chamber...
its really up to you in matters of sound/performance characteristics that you want the flowmaster system i think sounds the greatest but performs just a tad bit less than a straight through system like the magnaflow or borla setups h-pipes give better sound while x-pipes are more for performance me personally im looking for just an off road x with a flowmaster cat back system

Re: Exhaust mods opinions wanted
dont really know on muffler's, but i had a o/r x - pipe on my 2k gt, god i miss that car, you could hear it from far away, but i liked it better than the h - pipe i have on my gt vert, i still have it, just dont know if it will fit on my 5.0 vert, the pipes look about the same, i'm just too lazy to try it. plus it's cold right now & i have no garage.

Re: Exhaust mods opinions wanted
IMHO, it's hard to go wrong with FlowMaster. That's a very subjective opinion. I'm sure everyone will have a favorite.

Re: Exhaust mods opinions wanted
do your whole exhaust at the same time so you can avoid the issue/problem of length. If you buy the whole system at the start you can avoid that. I like the flowmasters myself and am running an h-pipe. Because I didn't do it all at once,I now have to be careful as to what headers to get so that the rest of my exhaust still fits
