If it has a black handle on the back of it it is a sun roof. The handle is a pull tab style that is pulled down and pushed up and forward to open the sun roof. To take it out squeeze the 2 silver buttons on either side of the handle, and slide the roof back while it is open slightly. 2 runners atached to the glass will slide out of 2 slits in the roof. If it has not been opened in a while it will be tough. Spray some WD-40 in to the grooves before sliding the top back on. There should be a vinyl bag to store it in that is strapped down in the hatch area with a Y style strap. Hope this helps. Light Em Up!!!

It has a black handle at the back of it with 2 red button on either side the handle can either be turned to the back of car or it turns a little and faces down, when turned back it pushes against the top, at the front of the top it says " to enjoy your glass top keep the seals clean" i tried what you said and the buttons don't push in at all and if down position it isn't open at all, maybe it is just glass roof panel??

That's weird. Ive never heard of a top like that on a stang before. My handle looks like a plastic rectangle. You put your fingers in between the handle and the roof and pull down to unlatch, push forward and up to open. It does not sound like yours. Mabey it is just a glass roof. That suks. Light Em Up!!!
