Post 2ND COMING

Got my '69 fastback. Wow. What a sweet car. I'm gonna take my 351W out of my coupe and put it in the fastback. The Cleveland in it is a little tired and would take some work to make it anything close to the Windsor. Fastback came with the Cleveland, a C6 with 2800 stall, 9" rear with 3.50 posi. Selling the engine/tranny/rear for $1500 to a guy I know. He's gonna use them in a '32 Ford Coupe he's building. The same guy has a '25 coupe that runs 8s/9s.

I am going to make this fastback nicer, better, and faster than my coupe. That is my goal. My coupe was worth $25k to the insurance company. This fastback will be worth $40k.

The car is very fixable from the accident. It was a rollover, but actually, it was just laid on it's top pretty gently. The driver's side of the car is pretty much perfect. Headlight extension, fender, door, quarter panel, trunk lid, taillight panel, right quarter panel (repairable), rear valance, are all good. All glass is fine except windshield. Don't have a price yet. Let me know if still interested.

Haha. No, no, no, Rev. That's US dollars my friend. I live in good ol' Western Nebraska. Sidney is the town, right on I-80. About 6,000 people. Home of Cabela's (hunting and outdoor stuff).

My insurance company has people (car collectors, restorers, dealers) nationwide that he sends the pictures/information to get appraisals. He said the average amount from them was between $20-25k, US.

crazy horse- The coupe probably isn't what you're looking for. It's not a parts car. It's a car that would be very easily restored. New panels and you're set. Everything else in the car is in tact and ready to roll. Definitely not a parts car. I wouldn't sell it for that.

Rev- Those appraisals were actually from a few car guys across the nation! But we have a really good insurance company and that probably helped out a ton also!

Rage- Gently was just in comparison to other roll over crashes. Mine just tipped. Going around a curve, about 10 mph or so, then just accelerated a little, didn't floor it or anything. The road was just "armor-chipped" the day before, which is where they lay down a coat of tar, then put small rocks on it. It's supposed to protect the street during the winter or some horseshit like that. I have always hated it, even more now. It was all loose and stuff, it hadn't settled yet. My tires started spinning with the new 3.70s and posi the back end just came around about 30 mph or so. Spun around parellel with the opposite curb, then above the curb was about 8 inches of a dirt slope, so the car jumped up on that, went onto the passenger side wheels, stalled there for a split second, then just layed over on it's top.

Crazy Horse- The car will have a few parts missing, like driver's side glass, trunk lid, some interior, various trim pieces. But still a very in tact car. Don't have any prices figured out yet. Won't for a while. Have to figure out what we all need off of the car.
