Default Anybody into demo derbys?

Just wondering if anybody else on this forum does anything with demo derbys. I helped some friends over the weekend, took pictures mostly though. (Doing some work for a photo class I took an incomplete in last semester ) The last derby I helped with I felt like it was a complete waste of my time, but this one wasnt too bad. The car is a late 70's Dodge Cordoba (SP?) I think, with a 318 in it. He went out because a wire came off of the coil, but the good part is that the car is ready to go through another derby and it didnt really take any damage in this one.

Work went on until 3am the night before and started at 10am the day of the derby.

It takes alot of beer to build a derby car! Thats a Jeep they are working on for a different derby. We went through plenty just working on this one.

Here is what it looked like overall before the sponsors were put on the side.

The flag chick wasnt bad looking! Not sure how old she was though...

Loading up the car, they just pushed it on for us.
