DAN! i think you should really consider a "smack talk" forum. this way people who dont like flame wars can roam the boards and post without any BS. it would be like seperating the good from the bad, so to say. i know MW isnt about that, but you got to remember this is an internet forum and you will always have "flames" no matter what, so why wouldnt you have a "special" place just for that? flames happen to our senior members here with other senior memebers. its not just the new guys itself. just thought i would throw that in.
How would that help? I hope people don't actually start "flame wars" on purpose...seemed to me it was just when people happened to disagree within a thread Yeah I'll take up with someone if I think they're outta line, but I don't find it particuarly enjoyable, especially enough to go into a forum to purposefully argue with someone...

Hey I just realized the user messages are different...very cool! I like Participant, Mustang Racer, etc...

But...does this mean I can't make myself a custom one when I hit 1500??? I missed the boat when all the members were allowed to do so, and have been waiting...now I don't get to at all? Suckage...

Maybe we should have a feedback page for each user, and a 1-10 star rating too, kinda like ebay?.
dont you think that this would turn the site into a popularity contest?

Absolutely.

Not to mention NONE of the members here are obligated to you for anything, besides basic courtesy. Feedback on Ebay is to prevent against people who do not fulfill their contracts...payments, shipping etc. I don't see how that even remotely applies to a public, free message board.

Also, I don't really think its nice that if I don't like you, I can just post a nasty comment...if I have a specific problem with you, I'll take it up with YOU, on or off the boards, depending on the situation.

Sorry. how do you spell Peeeekkkeerr? i did that so i wont get these *******. get my drift?

oh and BELLE, when you want to argue, you can go to the smack talk forum. then you can leave everyone else that doent like to argue(disagree), to post normally. this way when a thread gets out of hand(which it happens all the time) it can get moved to smack talk. really it is just that simple.

oh BTW, some people DO like to start flame wars. you have seen it yourself on MW with your own eyes.

Yeah dude I was about to say...I'm not going to another forum just because I'm pointing out why member feedback would be a bad idea
