Very nice. I bet he wins quite a few street races with that. I know I would be. If you guys don't already you should check out streetfire.com. There are tons of videos like that on there. Lots of street racing and stuff like that. There is a badass twin turbo ford gt on there that posts lots of videos. So people have all the fun.

Re: New Shelby, Enjoy
What a over-rated car that shelby is. bamn that car wieghs too much I don't see any off those comments about this cobra. I wonder why not? Maybe that 9 second time slip? hopefully that will shut some people up. I love it. Ford isn't as bad as most of you all make it out to be. Let one of your hondas run that kinda number with minalmal mods. Can't be done. Ask the driver of that buick if that cobra weighs too much.

I agree with 69fastback.... piss and moan all you want, it is what it is (a quick car w/ obvious potential).

Re: New Shelby, Enjoy
I installed a stage 3 cold air kit on my 89 honda,(4 door Accord) it now runs 10.01. Im thinking If I shift it manually (its an automatic) I can get it into the nines. If not I will install a stage 4 cold air kit on it and be well into the nines. Wish me luck guys!!!

Re: New Shelby, Enjoy
Problem is that thing does NOT weigh what a Shelby off the showroom floor weighs. If they really were pushing 2 tons (gross weight of the new Shelby) down the quarter in that time, that car would have to produce somewhere in the neighborhood of 880 RWHP which according to them they are not. Taking weight out is the same as putting power in and 4000 lbs is a LOT to push around for any motor. A 4000 lb car with 664 RWHP should be clicking off 10.5 sec quarters at approx 128MPH. Obviously they took quite a bit of weight out!!!

Re: New Shelby, Enjoy
I concur. That car has been seriously lightened. The Shelby is a tank that sacrifices performance for looks and comfort. It's the same thing that happened with the cushy GT500 of old that weighed far more than the quicker Mach 1 428 equipped cars. Does it really matter? Time will tell, but I expect there to be a lot of people interested in having the performance the car does from the factory, and the name "Shelby" on it. Most Mustang owners are a lot more concerned with straight line performance than they are with balance or being nimble.
