Post Tool or Staind?

If you guys had to pick between buying one of the new albums coming out, which one would you get? I'll probably end up buying both. Does anyone know what the release dates are? I was thinking Tool on the 15th and Staind on the 22nd. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I listen to a lot of different types of music (except Country) and in my opinion, Aenima is one of the best CDs of all time. Perfect Circle also Rocks!

On a side note, It's Been Awhile (Staind) is a great song. I've heard it on the radio a lot and still not tired of it.

Staind if I was going to buy either. I listened to the Tool album a couple times at work today and it just sounds like the same old thing they've turned out their previous two albums. They kinda remind me of Rush in the way that all of their members are very talented...but their music just seems to fall a bit short. Staind isn't the most original band (neither is Tool) but I like their harder style.

Of course the best of all time is Van Halen. Even though I think they might be reaching the end..

Or Tommy Lee's new project...Methods of Mayhem i think...

Staind, they are awesome, they sound exactly the same in concert as on the album. I like when a group can actually perform. Still like tool though. What about that new group Mudvayne (sp)? If you like metal they are bad azz. They are new to me, I actually don't know how new they are to everyone else.

Power...Van Halen is definately up there. Out of the few 80s songs I like, most of them are VH.

Stizzity...Already have Perfect Circle. I even bought that Tool dvd/cd thing that came out a few months ago that has some of their music videos and concert songs. The funny thing is, I don't even have Opiate or Undertow, but Hush is probably my favorite Tool song.

Hey 88GT...Mudvayne f@$kin rules man. I've had that album since it came out. If you like Mudvayne, you'd probably be really into Ultraspank too. And all you guys talkin about Van Halen...that's the sh!t right there. Best of the old school.

I have the new Staind. It's pretty good. But, I'm anxious to hear Tool's new CD as well. Like someone said, 'bout time for a new cd from them.

84_GT350 & T_Bone, I was just wondering how you guys were able to listen to the new Tool an Staind albums since you can't buy them yet (as far as I know).

I don't like most of the stuff thats played on mainstream radio, its so repetative and stupid. Not all new bands are bad, there is some good stuff, but even ones that used to be good (say, offspring) went bad with their most recent albums, it turns into the mindless repetivity that the younguns crave.....maybe its cause TRL only shows, say, 30sec of videos and if the song is repetative, you hear all of it in that 30sec! like i said, there is some good new music, i love blink 182 and goldfinger (most people have forgotten the latter, they just aren't trendy enough), and i like all kinds of music (even some country, the stuff that isn't "my tractor died, the dog bit it, and my girl left me for my brother AND my cousin").

screw MTV, do they even play video's anymore?

I watch VH-1's Insomniac Video and Cardio Video. Both come on in the middle of the night but since I'm in Hawaii I get them from about 9-midnight. Nothing but nonstop video's without any bullshit.
