![]() we have recently gotten some street racing started in my town with some mild betting goin on, not just between the people racing i might add, well any way my two friends one with a stock 00 v6 and the other with a 99 neon rt with all kinds of after market trash on it. we lined them up in the road and waved them of, by the first shift the stang had a car length and at the end of it all according to my other friend who was watchin for cops at the finish said it was about a 6 car length slaughter by the stang,bone stock i might add, well other than a k&n. after all was said and done, i was 20 dollars richer,my friend with stang was 50 dollars richer and the poor guy in the neon was broke and quite for the rest of the night...

id bet my money on the stang. the 5speed v-6 stang is a mid-low 15sec car

![]() I am surprised the stang won the new neon 5 speeds run better times than the V6 stang at the track I race at.
Be careful man its just a matter of time before someone comes over there with a turbocharged or nitrous injected import and takes your cash

![]() basically we do most of this for fun, i live in a small town and know most of the cars that we run, how ever there are a few bad boys around here that like to show there *** and never show up.Half of my friends drive imports or some sort of domestic 4 banger, the other half drive mustangs,and i might add that rarely do the import boys challenge us, i have a 98 gt with a few mods, my other friends cars consist of an 87 5.0 gt,a carbed but built 84, on 99 gt with a chip and a k&n,and about three other 5.0s, in most cases the stangs race the stangs and the imports race the imports, but rarely will i bet on someone else's race unless in know whats under the hood,and ive got a cheat can in the trunk so i should be able to deal with most of the rice that comes my way..... just watch out for those 1st generation awd eclipse, some of them can bust of some good times
