Default Josh reaches a cross roads. What to do?

Well graduation is fast approching, so I will have some extra money. I really want to satisfie my need for speed. But I can't figure out what to do. I hope to have about 1K(hopefully) What's you you guys think.

I could buy a donor car, and do a V-8 swap. But I feel that cost might get out of hand on that one

Get a 5K loan a get a 5.0 fox body. Shoud be about 150 a month for 3 years

Get a 8K loan for a 94-95 GT. Should be about 150 a month for 5 years.

Buy a 67 Mustang coupe for a project for my dad and I

Get a hell of a sound system

Save it towards a 5.0

or just pay my damn car off(11 more months left, about 1500 bucks)

I'd pay her off first. You can get the parts for the swap piece by piece till you get it all then swap it out. That way by the time you have it payed off you won't lack much on the swap.

I voted for the system lol. But i think you should save up until you can buy either a fox or an sn95. I would wait until you have more money to get a loan but.... I think saving for a fox or sn95 would actually be easier that swapping a v8 so you dont have to do as much work especially if you want to go efi like you probably do.

Nick

i voted for paying it off first, but fastchick says do both. if you can do both, then yes go that way, if not pay it off. you will not regret it either. it is such a relief to get a loan of your mind, trust me! good luck

I say do the motor swap. U love the car, know everything about her, and this way u can finnish paying it off to build up your credit. If u buy another car, u might spend more money fixing what goes wrong about stuuf u didn't know about when u go it. I like the '67 idea, but if u want speed now, I'd do the v8 idea.

I want to go EFI

The more I think about it the less and less apealing the 5.0 conversion seems

Pay it off, get the fox 5 liter and keep the 4 banger as a daily driver. get liability only insurance on the 4 banger, and pleasure insurance on the 5 liter.

youll want to sell the 4 banger to pay for mods for your 5.0, but dont. youll only end up buying a beater down the road.

*Josh smacks himself in the forehead*

I must be COMPLETY retarded. Thanks ReefBlueCoupe, your reply knocked some sense into me. If I had used my head for something other than a hat rack I would have figured this out in the first 5 mins. I can use my graduation money to pay off most of my car, then towards the end of this summer, get a loan for a Fox.

Yes, you have figured out the right thing, Joshua. Pay it off...then get a loan for a fox and keep your 4-banger....that should work out best for you....hopefully!

glad I could help. that would have been ideal for me, but i sold my paid off car to buy some mods, and now i am beater hunting. i should have stuck to my own plan.

the bolt-ons can get expensive.. they sure are addictive

Thats a good idea Reefbluecoupe.

My problem is that I'm doing a v8 swap, then going to sell it. Make my '66 a daliy driver, and my bronco a once in a while.
