![]() I always notice that the # of replies is always WAYYYY lower than the # of total views.
Ok, if I take the time to read a post, nine times out of ten, I have something to say, and I take the time to reply. I say that from now on, if you think you have anything to add to the discussion, you go ahead and reply. So many of the posts here especially have like 6-7 posts and, like, 105 trillion views. Why do so many people read posts and have nothing to say about them...?? If you read this, reply! Let's see what happens.

![]() A lot of times for me, someone has already said what I think about the subject (often times better than I could). Is there really any point in posting a "ditto" or "what he said" post? I try not to just repeat an earlier post unless I can add something.

![]() Some people have no interest in posting because they have little to add or no time - in most cases - but they like to read the posts anyway.
Some folks are just shy - or lazy. Some topic titles are misleading and people read the original message but then lose interest. Some threads have a ton of posts already and members don't want to be lost in the crowd so they don't bother posting. Some threads aren't worth posting on, to be honest. We have a lot of 'guests' and they read but don't (can't) post. I would rather see a thread with a lot of views and a handful of useful or at least interesting posts than a thread with a ton of silly, post 'ho-type posts that add nothing but another number on someone's post count (which I would love to eliminate but can't).

![]() There are lots of posts like that over the last few years. I could name them, but I won't.

![]() Hey, that's an honest question. But the answers to that question is like a lot of others have already stated. My two reasons (from those already mentioned) I guess would be that a good amonut of times, if I am not like the 3rd or 4th person to reply, someone would've already taken my reply (as what's already been done in this post) and that some titles are misleading so when I get in there, I'm like "what the heck" and don't bother wasting time.
Hey, I guess another reason would be that there are some posts that I reply to early on. A few pages later, it has turned into a flame war , or sonmthing stupid, or off-topic, and I have already said my piece, but I just wanted to come back and see how the post was doing. Multiply that by 10-20% of the people who already replied who are doing the same thing I'm doing (just checking back to see how the post is going but don't actually add a reply) and you get a big # of views. Anyway, stoplightwarrior how you like my wonderfully insightful reply?? ![]()

![]() I try to give my input on pretty much all posts that I read, hence why I have so many posts and like a 4.xx post average per day, and I wasn't on this site for like a month. But sometimes I view the tread acouple times to see what people have wrote and I don't post again cause I already have. So that could also be a reason why it gets so many views appose to posts.
Sam.
