When one puts certain info out on the net, it's public information. While I can't fathom thieves being members of MW, those mofo's could log on and gain certain info. THEY ARE OUT THERE.

That's crazy. Just goes to show you have to be very careful what kind of info you give out to people!
Take care, -Chris

Trusting the net
Sad story.
Apparently, just because someone owns the same kind of car that you do and logs on a marque website doesn't mean that they are your bud. The lesson is to always hedge your bets a bit when you use the internet - for anything. Too much information can occasionally be misused by the criminal types - and they have computers too. On the net, anyone can be anybody with little means of verification available so enjoy the net and all the websites but don't offer more than you would any casual aquaintance in the 'real' world. |

While everyone that I've met on MW had been really cool and I've even become pretty good freinds with Hammer, I guess things like this can still happen.
luckily my car has not very many mods for the taking, plus you couldn't get it off the jack stands and started with out a some work right now |

Wow that is some crazy stuff, glad they caught the guy. I would of said screw the cops I would of beat the crap out of him threw him in a ditch, got my car and took off. Never know who ya can trust now a days. *Sam looks around suspiciously, and runs to make sure his car is still in the garage. * I trust most people, but I'm always aware of what's going on around me.
Sam.

I also post on Rx7club.com and remember reading this a few weeks ago. It turns out they actually worked on each others cars and were buds, kinda messed up that he did all of that just to steal his car. And the real kicker is, he was auctioning off the parts on the same site! We have some smart people in this world don't we?

Man, that sucks soooooo much. But I'm really glad they put the thief in jail and that dude got his car back. I was also impressed with some of the guys there on the forum who felt that there was something fishy about that guy and called him on it and also warned others that they should probably "leave this one alone" when he tried to sell parts on the forum.
...Gotta be careful...

I just don't understand people these days. People already frown on car enthusiasts as it is, all we have is eachother to keep the different scenes alive, and we have jerk off's like this causing trouble. Thankfully, this is a rare occurance.

I ******* hate that guy. I hope he gets a nice few years in jail, you ******* shithead KELVIN. Sounded like a real cocky son of a ***** too when he was denying that he was the same person, and just too stupid to know how to log out. I ******* hate thieves, who would take away a person's custom built baby...I couldn't be held responsible if I caught someone trying to steal my car...
As of right now, I don't plan on driving my Mustang for a few weeks, so the shifter is missing...laugh if you want, but I'd like to see them try to take her without it And if they do try...well if theyre that motivated I guess I'd be screwed anyways |
