Default looked at an 03 cobra today

Things I like:
-390 horses
-how it looks

Things I don't like:
-my insurance quote
-the clutch is stiffer than i'd like for my daily 25 minute, 2.3 mile commutes
-the shifter is too far forward and to the right.....i have to lean forward to reach to shift regardless on my seating position
-the radio and climate controls are slightly angled away from the driver's seat

i didn't drive it today.

Yeah the shifter is a problem i have heard. my first mod to it would be a Pro 5.0 shifter

not that i'm realistically considering buying one (i am real happy with my stock gti to use as a commuter/solo II racer and my monte carlo project, plus the whole money thing)

i don't think MY problem with it would be solved unless you cut up the center console.........i couldn't even touch the shifter with the seatbelt locked.......that wouldn' work well for autocross

Dude, sounds like you don't have much of a wingspan. None of the guys I talked to had trouble reaching it.

i checked out one and i didn't have a problem reaching it and i gotta move the seat back to my long legs in there, but the positioning of the shifter could be better.

I like the 03 Cobra's in every aspect. I just wish Ford would've started building them a long time ago.

And, I wished they would ditch the IRS!!

Daniel.
