![]() First let me say Hi. I'm new to this forum and have some questions. I just purchased a 93 GT Conv. and thought I would run it by you all and see how you thought I did. I have some questions about location of parts as well.
The car is a 93 GT Conv. and has 78k miles. I purchased it from the second owner that has done all mods. in the last 10k miles. The interior is good, but the paint is fading. A few minor dings, nothing bad though. Triple black, Black Ext, Black Leather New Black Cloth Top. Edelbroc Stage 3 Wire Loc Alum Cylinder heads, Ported and polished 1.72 Roller Rockers 70 mm Throttle body Pro M mass air Mac Ceramic Coated headers Mac H Pipe Lowering Springs all around Kyb Gas shocks, struts Caster Camber Plates Alum Drive Shaft 3.73 Motorsport Gears Cobra Upper and Lower Intake AOD with Lentech valvebody 17X9 Cobra Rs with Z rated Firestones Viper Alarm System. New 3 core radiator. I got all the old parts, Heads, Intake, Etc. Spare Axles, drums, rotors and a car cover. I got it for $7800. How did I do? Also, It needs windo rubbers that but up next to the quarter windows. The dealer says it is obsolete. Where can I get these? Anyone? thanks, Chris |

![]() I think you paid a lil' too much. An 8 thousand dollar fox body 5.0 should be flawless.
Try www.anythingstangs.com for any used take off parts you might need. Enjoy the car man it sounds like it would be pretty quick.

![]() If you are happy with the car and its in good shape then I think its worth the price you paid. There are two ways to look at it, modded cars are always in question as to the treatment they received(usually more so than a bone stock car). If I was satisfied with the treatment/condition of the car then I would be looking at the big picture... I'm seeing over $5k in mods and a new top is $800-1200, easily. Looking at it that way it doesn't sound bad at all, does it? Enjoy your car.

![]() First of all, Welcome to Mustang Works! You will definately enjoy it here.
As for your car, sounds like a nice car. If you are happy with it, then that is all that matters. It should not matter what you paid for the car. That's up to you. Enjoy!

![]() Thanks for the info guys. I found the window rubbers from Late model restoration. I should have them in a few days. After looking at everything that is available from them I think I could just have my check direct deposited there and it would be easier. I had no idea there was so much available for these cars. I'm used to dealing with the Lightning and you don't have nearly as many vendors.
thanks again, Chris |
