Cool Rattling trunk lid

I've got a 12" sub in my trunk and it's making the trunk lid rattle, as well as the license plate. Any suggestions on how to keep them from rattling?

Hey, we have a audio forum, just because there aren't many posts in it doesn't mean it's bored moderator (me) salivating for a chance to help someone.

I would suggest you dyno-matt the inside of your trunk, they also make kits for the license plate (make sure the bolts are good and tight too). Make sure the bolts are tight on the wing too.

Cool

LOL, yeah I didn't post in there because there's hardly an activity and I knew it would get seen here in the Blue Oval Lounge. Anyways, I've got some dynomatting (I hope it's still out there and didn't get tossed) so I'll try that. What's the license plate thing you are talking about? Also, I don't have a rear wing.

It's a peice of dyno-mat in the shape of the tag, just put it behind the tag.......simple stuff.

The volume doesn't have to be up very loud at all for the sub to rattle the trunk lid and plate. I don't listen to it real loudly. The sub is just there to pick up the low end of the sound spectrum. It's not like I"m trying to let people hear if for blocks around me. I'm getting too old for that, lol. I want to keep my hearing by the time I"m old and gray.
