Talking Guess What I bought for 50 Dollars??

This happened a while back, dont think I told you all.

Hehehe.... One day this guy that hangs out with Ricers came up to me and pulled me to the side. He drove a Crown Vic, Late 80's model, with a 302.

Well, he stumbled upon something he was going to put on it a while back, a SN92 Paxton Super Charger. It was locked up, but he was going to get it rebuilt, and put it on his Crown Vic.

Well, his Money got tight, and he needed 50 dollars for gas, and for rent. So, he sold me the Super Charger, for 50 DOLLARS! I took it over to my friend Tim's. We tore it apart, and the bearings were good, more than good, they were great. The impeller checked out okay. Some one had marred the Balls in the Ball Drive unit.

I asked around and found that the assembly should only cost 300 dollars. So, I got a Super Charger for my old Mustang for a total of 350 and some dollars.. Happy!

Now I got me a set of heads with larger CC combustion chambers that should drop my compression down to 8.9:1. Just got clean them up and port them. Dont think the 10.1:1 compression that the engine has now would be all the friendly to 6 lbs boost.

Hehehe...Anyone have a carb for a supercharged car? I cant believe the kid sold me it for 50 dollars, and far as I know..Its not someone elses "Borrowed" stuff.

As long as you have enough fuel to supply it, I wouldn't worry one bit about 10.1:1 with only 6lbs of boost.

Its when you get greedy and want more boost when you should worry

anyway, great find!

LMAO!!!!!

Yeah, I personally see no reason for 10.1 and 6lbs.not to go together. IMO it'd just be more fun that way
