That's a K-car. Not a Buick Regal.

Low 10's is crazy for that thing. I wonder what in the hell he did to the thing.

yea, i was thinking that too..its definetly a crappy little k-car...i think chysler made em...did you hear the winding sound before the launch? geez....that was cool..

SlowMopar 01-30-2003 08:24 PM

I noticed that too. It's a Plymouth Reliant or a Dodge Aries. That'd be one helluva street sleeper. Who'd ever expect that? Bet that Supra owner was laughing as he pulled up to the line.

I would probley have fuckked with that car out on the street in the SHO. Would I not have been in for an eye opener. That thing is sick!!

lx mike 01-30-2003 09:40 PM

One word "turbocharged" they make nice sleepers, no sound at all till your lined up then it's too late!!

mustangman65_79 01-30-2003 09:41 PM

Ok, I'll play the dumb guy, whats a K-Car?

429mustang 01-30-2003 10:45 PM

It's a plymouth reliant, usually they're just pu*sy 80's economy cars but that one's bayad. I wouldn't mind throwing some nitrous on my smallblock astro, but it's not much of a sleeper with the 2 chamber flowmasters on it.

93calcobra 01-30-2003 10:50 PM

he got spanked!

MidNiteBlu 5.0 01-31-2003 04:29 AM

Was it just me, or was smoke coming from the REAR tires?

If you look closely you can see the solid beam axle in the rear of the car. The car is still a front driver. Amazing.

It's what saved Chrysler from bankruptcy. The Reliant and Aries came out in '81, and were the first "full size" FWD cars that were actually the forerunner to the minivan (same platform). They had a POS 2.2L engine for the majority of the models, although a 2.5 was later available. They ranked right up there with the Chevy Vega as far as reliability.

For the most part, you can't give them away.
