It's what saved Chrysler from bankruptcy. The Reliant and Aries came out in '81, and were the first "full size" FWD cars that were actually the forerunner to the minivan (same platform). They had a POS 2.2L engine for the majority of the models, although a 2.5 was later available. They ranked right up there with the Chevy Vega as far as reliability.
For the most part, you can't give them away.
