SN 95 Side Scoops
I searched the archives and struck out. So here's my question. How do you remove the side scoops without damage to the paint? Secondly, I have a 97 which does not have real side scoops to cool the rear brakes. I'm guessing only 94/95 do. Anyways is anyone experiencing any negative result ie rust, gumming etc? Do you think it would be beneficial to make the scoops active? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure all the sidescoops are appearance parts only. No functionality behind them. Including the 94-95's.
No need to be cooling the rear discs anyway, they only do about 20% of your braking. |

I've been looking into buying a 94/95 droptop and all the ones I have seen have the scoop vented through the fender to the wheels. I guess they were not needed or a a way to trim expenses by Ford. Thanks.
