i REALLY hate to comment on this, but i find:

to be a very ignorant and offensive statement (to both blacks and whites). whether it is your intention or not, this statement implies all blacks to be uneducated, ignorant, and destitute. it is also troubling that it is acceptable and expected for one person to behave a particular way and it isn't acceptable for another (who may very well be from the exact same environment) to do the exact same thing.

there are white real gangsters out there. there are inner-city poor whites. there are black wanna-be-gangsters out there and there are educated, well-spoken black folk out there. the behavior mentioned in this thread has nothing to do with race, so please leave race out of it.

no it doesnt. it merely states where the hip hop fad started. i know many black people and find them to be quite intelligent, and well off.

on this i agree with you, however most of the youths that tend to have a ricer mentality are well off youth that have no identity of their own so they copy what ever fad is in vogue at the moment.

this statement i highly agree with, but the comment, i dont think was meant to slander black people at all, but to show what idiots young people can be these days when they try to follow every fad that pops up. also, if you want to rid the world of racism, start with the person that looks at you in the mirror every morning. i am sorry if i offended you, that is not my intent. i am just trying to point out that the statement made was not intended, in my opinion, to be inflamitory as you make it out to be. people can and do make all kinds of comments about me(positive and negative) and i just consider the source, because if i took offense everytime i would end up on a killing spree. what i would like you to do is step back and try to look at the statement made from by aford50lx from his point of view. i think if you do that you will see no harm was intended except to the targeted party, and NOT towards black people.

Okay, this thread has less to do with race than with dumbass kids pretending to know something and act like they're from somewhere they're not; most of the $h!t they have on their hondas are what their stupid parents, yes, I said stupid parents, bought for them anyway. Or at least the parents let them put it on the car that they still own! Ricers are merely identity-lacking idiots trying to make themselves out to be bad-azzes. I believe the point was made that they're trying to act like they're from the ghetto just to summarize their whole attitude and fronting, and I just don't get WHY they act like that. Mommy and Daddy making $400k a year, living in a condo, and buying them whatever the hell they want doesn't help matters, so if we're going to dis anyone it should be the parents. If my brother started acting ghetto and/or riceboy, I'd probably beat the living crap outta him or at least slash his tires (fwiw, he drives a 92 Crown Vic, so he's cool). Why? Because it's all a front, and I HATE FAKERS, and I'll be DAMNED if I'll be made to live with one, let alone be related. We live in the country; that doesn't mean I drive a Massey-Ferg to work everyday. ;) However, it sure does imply that we're not from the ghetto. It is funny watching ricers move over to the shoulder when a combine is coming down the road. God, just for once I'd love to see a farm implement rip one of those damn things off the road by the wing. Then I'd die happy. :D

Exactly. The best way to handle them is to ignore them...however, I do prefer laughing and making them look like an even bigger fool (is that even possible with some of these?). Clouds of tire smoke is sometimes effective. :D

I was at a "qwikee mart" and this guy was looking my cobra all over. He wanted to see the engine, and I obliged. Upon talking to him, I learned he was a Ricer. It seems that he "Can't afford a real car, so he tricked his Honda out". Of course, that's my translation, but you can tell he wished he could get in my car and take it home.

Perhaps I met an honest ricer, but he certainly knew when he was beat. :p
