1. Ugly, makes Aztec look cool 2. Slow, It's main purpose may not be for drag racing, but I can think of about 700 other cars I would rather drive on a twisty track. 3. Crappy ride. I'm sure that with that car's suspension it would have a very rough ride. Once again there are 700 other cars that probably handle almost as well but have a much better ride. 4. It's ugly 5. The A520 tires make too much road noise 6. Why can't these guys paint the hood the same colour as the rest of the dam car? 7. Where are the f**king door handles? 8. It's unappealing to the human eye, I'm sure most Armadillo's would try to hump this car. 9. Why the hell would you put a 400lb Stereo in a "race" car. 10. The Valve cover is ugly 11.There's no glove box to hold tissues to wipe the tears from his eye's when Honda Civics beat this guy at the lights. 12. How much money did this guy spend on this car? To me it looks like an old VW with a pounding stereo that has no f**king door handles! How much does the car weigh? 2600 lbs? Why kind of lateral grip is it capable of? |

How do you go 15.9 with a 130 mph trap speed?

I'm not going to claim that it was built for such and such purpose, because I didn't build it and such claims would be mere speculation.
I will, however, say that the owner seems to be pretty happy with it, even if Rice Hater President 95mustanggt doesn't give it his stamp of approval. Also, it seems to be very well respected and appreciated in the Volkswagen community and Euro show scene, even without 95mustanggt's support. And for the record, I don't see anywhere where anyone claims it to be a "race car." Also, that is a 130 mph TOP speed, not TRAP speed, Dan-man.

Sorry about that Cbring, I just skimmed over the info that you had posted. I went back and saw that it said Top Speed. I was thinking of it being on a drag strip.

Boy, you put up a picture and some specifications on a car so that we could look at it and give you some opinions (otherwise why the hell are you posting here?). I really don't give a rats tail end that the "people in the VW community" give this junk heap a thumbs up. I gave you my opinion, If you don't like it, go somewhere else, boy. Although the car was never called a "race" car, anyone who puts monster rims with super low profile tires, adds performance exhaust, performance suspension, performance intake manifold, performance engine components, and performance transmission and clutch is obviously trying to build a performance car. He's beyond just a show car. Now a 15.9 in the quarter mile and a 130 mph top speed are so f88king far from performance numbers they guy can't drive and/or (probably and) the car is a piece of junk (as a "performance" vehicle, I'm sure it's fine in other aspects). I'm glad the owner is happy with out my support. Such things do happen, fags and tree huggers don't get my support either, but they still exist. If you're going to be such a baby don't post such crap |

95,
I don't expect you, or anyone, here to like or dislike this car, or any. In fact, I'm indifferent to it. Some people like some things, other people like other things. I'm even fine with you sharing your opinion. However, I think it is very poor taste to "discredit" someone elses work, especially when you justify it with stereotypes and speculation. You speculate on the ride quality and handling characteristics. Forming opinions on speculation is ignorance. You also stereotype the "400 pound stereo." He has a single sub and it is in a custom enclosure. By the way, the custom stereo setup is virtually a must to make a competitive show car and a fun daily driver, which is exactly what this car is. If you will note, the gentleman owns a performance shop. He built this car as a rolling advertisement for his business, not as a "race" car. After my 2nd post on this thread, you resorted to name calling. Again, I consider that very poor taste. Why must you resort to that? Do you have no substance to your arguement? As far I am concerned, you appear to be exactly what you claim to hate. Thank you to everyone who looked at this post. I appreciate your time.

Geez cam calm the **** down. he has every right to be post here and bringing a different mind set to our board.
I mean i will admit it Mustangs are not the greatest cars ever built. i love em but still you cant be so damn biast. I dont know if youve ever ridden in a Mini but those things handle better than anything i have ever ridden in. I know you guys probably are gonna flame me for sticking up for cbring but i have yet to see him flame someone who did not deserve it from a comment directed toward him in the first place. when he first joined this site you guys called a VOLKSWAGEN GTI rice. WTF. I think alot of you are so damn brainwashed that you will call any import rice. its sickening. Anyways shaved door handles look really good on pretty much any car. It gives it a much cleaner look. usually the dorrs are either remotely opened or they have an actuator on the bottom of the door out of sight. Later, Nick

this is not cbring,
I'm glad that you understand that we all like different things. But it puzzles me when you take a few shots at me for making a few opinions, which in my opinion were only in good humour, even the ugly car parts. Quote:
I would bet a HELL of a lot of money that that car has a very rough ride, compared to just about ALL stock sports cars. I'm still not clear how that is "stereotyping" some thing, but you 're probably one of those people that think I'm racist because I use the term "ricers" Quote:

Spoken like a true *******. Of course it's your only defence. I would LOVE to sit you in a room and have a talk. I'm not one of these guys who wants to "kick your ***" or something, that's too childish. But I would like to sit in a room and debate. Your BS comments work on this board, but in person, you're as weak as a house of cards in a hurricane. I went back and searched my first post when you came here, I didn't call you a ricer then, but now after seeing you BS in action...you've earned the title...RICEBOY If I recall in a post you said you were 24? Time to start growing up, boy. |

Hey mustangers!!!
I know I am not here a lot, but after veiwing some of the posts on this VW siccro(spelling) I thought I would add my 2 cents worth. 1. Just about every thing german built is quality, as far a automobiles they are amoung the best in the world. people have already pointed out some of the names, ie// BMW, Porche, Mercedies (please forgive me for any spelling mistakes, I don't realy feel like checking it right now, [long day]) 2. any body riding with EIBACH parts right now, you are riding german. 3. the mini was originaly a british built car but is now owned by BMW, never the less, a sweet car. (british do have sweet cars too.) 4. The VW if properly maintained will run forever. 5. all though the VW does not realy belong on a mustang website (in my opionion) I enjoy seeing other makes and learing about them, and I thing we can all agree that we are all car nuts and as long as someone takes pride in the machine they own they are welcome amoung us. 6. come on guys (and gals) we all love cars, and have a difference of opinion, with all the crap that is going on in the world is it realy worth fighting over? in the famous words of John LENNON "give peace a chance" luv ya all forever, cars kick @$$! and mustangs will never die!
