speed limiter?

does my 97 gt have a speed limiter? ive had her to 130 with alot left... i was surprised i didnt hit a limiter somewhere around 125? whats the deal? also, does anyone know the tested top speed of these cars (96-98)?

well i've pin'd my 98 when it had no gears and it pin'd at 145 - 148 mphs .. with my 4.10's i pin'd at around 130 or so ...
but i recently put in a dyno tune chip and removed the limiter

there is not speed limiter per say on the mustangs. however on many late model fords, ford has a fuel cutoff programed in at around 110-130mph to prevent speed related tire failure.
