First off, you always ask to see the radar. That is your right when you get pulled over.
He could be making up your speed unless you verify it.

If others around you were doing the same speed he may have pulled you over because he got dusted earlier trying to catch a Mustang.

S***w trying to fight it in court. Attorney fees will be to high. When I went to court doing 80 in a 65 they immediately dropped the fine from $320 to $150. I didn't even have to speak my case. All I had to do was just state my name.

Wanna know how he picked you out. He found the Mustang in the bunch and went after it. Since i've had my GT for almost a month i've had 4 cops not only follow me, but TURN AROUND and follow me for a few miles. this never happens in my LX (because i took off the 5.0L badges and it looks like crap), only had one cop pull out after me in the LX in a crowd and i never got a ticket because he couldn't find anything to get me for (i pulled into someones driveway seeing if he'd follow me and he did......very unconfortable situation for both of us , he said "uhh......don't mind me." stanger and bad have good advice, i can't really comment because i've never had a ticket.

Feels good to be profiled and discriminated against because of what you drive!

That's funny I had a similar thing happpen to me today. I was hauling A##$ 50 in a 35 than I slowed down as I aproached traffic. Than I looked up and noticed a cop car pulled up next to me just checking me out. out of no where. I believe he heard my flows in a distance by the time he caught me I had already slowed down lucky for me

Your speedometer may be off. The faster you go, the more it's off in mph. Do you have different gears? A non-standard tire size?

If the fine is based on how fast you were going and there is a difference between 10 over and 16 over, just tell the judge you are willing to plead guilty to going 75mph because that is how fast you were going.

If the fine is the same no matter how far over you were going, just pay the ticket.

It does suck that they would pick on people in Mustangs. Here in Minnesota, it only seems like the pick on ricers.

Yeah, except for me appearently. I don't know how many times I've had a cop follow me for miles and miles. Right to the border of city's before. Who knows?

I think they had a picture of my blue stang saying bust 'em if you can. They were always setting weird crap up to bust me when I had my 88GT. I mean full blown operations.

Never did though, I was always one step ahead of them, never doing anything wrong when they were around.

When the officer writes the ticket out and has you sign it, MAKE SURE YOU READ IT OVER AND NOT JUST SIGN IT. I have had a few tickets where the cop "exaggerated" the speed I was going but I made the mistake of signing the ticket before reading it. Always make sure you look it over. If something is false, bring it to the cop's attention. If he doesn't fix it, refuse to sign the ticket.

If there is false info and you know it, don't sign the ticket. When you sign it, it's like you are pleading guilty. I'd rather be arrested than get a huge ticket and points on my liscense for something that I didn't do.
