stabbed in the back (sorry long)

who out there as ever had someone who you thoght was close friend srew you over.

not to long ago a guy I thought was a friend of mine asked me to do him a favor and watch his new puppy he got cause where he was living he could not have a dog he said he would pay for all the food and give me 30$ a month to watch her so I said I would.
well about a month in watching her I had to move(got kicked out of my house)so I could not watch her anymore so a friend of ours said he would watch her. I never seen any money for watching her or for the bones and food I bought not to metion the par of 100$ kicks she chewed up. no big deal hes a friend, when he has it he will hit me up . yeah right

well she got a skin inv. and had to be taken to the vet cause her fur was fallimg out. and my friend that had her ate the bill on this one and the next one and the next one because the guy who owned the puppy had no money and then I found out he had no money because he was saving the money to buy stuff for his car . I said something to him about this and I told him she needs to be taken care of or she could die and he goes off the deep end and says that I said that he cant take care of his own dog because she will die and this and that.. and then I find out from poeple that hes talking all kinds of crap about me and all of his old friends that were doing nothing but trying to help him out.

so I have not talked to him since nice why to end a 3yr friendship

Whewwww, I'm outta breath!

#1 Pony 07-02-2002 03:19 PM

I got a little lost at the end.

I only understood to the part where he got mad about the dog.
*poor thing*
:(

Stang_Crazy 07-02-2002 03:24 PM

The situation sucks but I guess now you know who your true friends are. Sometimes people can be so shady. So is he taking care of the puppy now or does the other person still have it?

It's always easier to blame than to take the blame. Usually that's what ends up happening.

explicitone 07-02-2002 03:31 PM

my friend that was helping him still has the puppy. sorry on parts of the story I cant type for anything I need to start using the preview . just to let you guys know jade (the puppy) is doing great now after about a month of vet visits and 650$ I just needed to vent its just so upsetting that when you try to help someone and they screw you over.....

PKRWUD 07-02-2002 03:37 PM

Screw him (so to speak). Be glad you found out what a prickless little pissant he is now before lifes expenses get to be more. this is the same kind of guy that would stick you with a $5000 downpayment on a car if you'd let him. You got out cheap, and Jade is healthy. Sounds like a winning situation to me. I know it doesn't to you, and I'm not trying to sound cold, but I have no tolerance for a$sholes like that. At all.

Take care,
-Chris

Friends and ex-friends

explicitone:

Sorry to see you were screwed over by your erstwhile friend but frankly, this stuff happens.

Often, when you do favors and the other person can't pay you back or return the favor (or doesn't want to) they get defensive because they know they're wrong but need to make you somehow the 'bad guy' in order to justify screwing you and to feel good about it.

Yeah, I had it happen to me, too. Almost everyone does at some point.

I now choose my friends carefully and although I know a lot of people I only have a few friends that I totally trust and only because they've proven themselves to me over a long period of time.

I almost never ask anyone for favors and I don't do many, either. It works fine. I pay for what I need or do it myself and when I need help, I only ask those who I know I can help back in some way at a later time.

Live and learn.

joe4speed 07-02-2002 04:18 PM

Screw him....

I've been screwed over so many times I can't count them all... and where are they when you need them?? No where to be found! You're better off losing this ******* "friend".

rbatson 07-02-2002 04:37 PM

I know ALOT of people but only have a couple I consider a friend. If you have 2 real friends, you're doing pretty good. I try not to let people take advantage of me, a real friend wouldn't take advantage anyhow. Sounds like one of life's lessons to me:(

Good Luck and enjoy your dog.:)

1969Mach1 07-02-2002 04:44 PM

Tough luck guy, don't worry about it. Aslong as you've learned your lesson from this jerk then it will be all good. Hopefully now you have a new best friend (the dog) and you can go out with out this guy.

Best of Luck in the Future,
§am.

Did it leave a mark?
I had that happen once (I was bit or clawed) in the face, almost took out my eye!
Aww.. but I still love'em, and I have a dog now. :D

I'm sorry that happened man.
I'm not even sure if I have ANY good friends. Yes, I know alot of people but I seem to be the person on the side. Go figure!!
*BUT a few are really considerate, and they are true friends*

I understand that, I have some family members like that.

My best of luck to you, and I do hope you start feeling better.

Mercury 07-03-2002 03:33 AM

Lets see...Friends back stabbing me..Yep..Had that happen a few times..The first incidnet that came to mind was in High School.

I was dating this FINE Korean girl, man she was beautifull. My friend liked her, but didnt have the nerve to ask her out, and he kept bugging her.

Well, she just came up one day and started talking to me (This was in High School. I was a big DORK in High School, so I was amazed by this). We exchanged Phone numbers and started talking. That made my friend so mad. He was throwing fits. He thought he was hot stuff, and I was a nobody.

Well, one time when he was over my house, I had to use the rest room (..Um...#2). Any way he found her number in my room and took it. That night when he got home he called her and started telling her all kinds of lies about me.

He told her I was 100% GAY...And convinced her I was just using her to hide my gayness! I found this out a few weeks later after it had gotten around school that I was gay. Needless to say I'M NOT GAY, And I was EXTREMELY PISSED!

Anyway, 3 years later I bumped back into that girl (Diane) and dated her again (Mine she was fine) for two years.

Explicitone, sorry to hear of your situation. Forget about your buddy, and give the little puppy a chance. Hope the puppy turns out okay, and that you find a good home for him if you dont want him.

I concur.

More often then not, I've had friends screw me over. I've been stolen from, lied to, betrayed, talked about, etc. Supposedly I had it coming to me bc I was "too nice". Well trust me, no one says that anymore

Ditch the friend, eat the losses, and don't look back. He WON'T pay, and it will just be a whole big headache. Sure, you could beat his ***, but that doesn't mean he will pay up, and then you will have more drama to deal with.

That sounds like 1/2 backstabbing friend, and 1/2 ignorant girl who believes hearsay. I'm surprised that you actually dated her after that, I try to stay away from people like that. Although, we do all grow up, and figure out that rumors aren't always true...

Rice Hunter 07-03-2002 09:02 AM

Hey, you could always do that Judge Judy show. I think that's what it is. It'd be great! Just tell us if you go on, so we can all watch! Hehe..

Oh yeah, backstabbing, my experiences have always been with girls. Not girls backstabbing me, but guys backstabbing me for the girls. You women just drive us men crazy!

Of course, the same can be said about money... hmmmmmm..?

explicitone 07-03-2002 02:45 PM

dont get me wrong guys, I dont hate this guy........
I just felt used and needed to vent but I do see a lot of your guys points....

PKRWUD 07-03-2002 03:30 PM

Hate is a strong word, and should be reserved for guys that really deserve it. This guy was/is a jerk. Just take what you've learned, and move on.

Take care,
-Chris
