summit sold out?
Anyone else think its bullsheyt how the sport compact section in the new summit has more pages than the mustang and TPI/LT1/LS1 sections combined? Whats the world coming to?
It wouldn't it be great if summit took all the profits from the sport compact crap and used the additional income to lower the prices on all the domestic parts. Then we wouldnt have to hate ricers. That would be funny as hell, but i dont think its gunna happen. |
Yeah, sure. What profit?
Selling automotive aftermarket parts is NOT how to get rich quick. There is very little mark-up on anything anymore, which means in order to survive, you sell what people want, and right now people want to believe their hand-me-down Japanese beer cans need to have money spent on them. Take care, ~Chris |
Yup sucks seen it and wanted to hurl!!!
See Ya, Karen:cool: |
I dont think theres money in selling anything anymore except clothes maybe.

Drugs. Especially the legal ones. BIG bucks.
Hey, you look tired, worn out, pooped. Have a rough day? Here you go! Have a Prozac! No, you don't need a nap, or to go to bed early, just have a pill. Trust me! What? Your life has been nothing but self induced catastrophies since you started taking them? Well then, you're not taking enough! But, make sure you spend top dollar to have a Physician tell you that first, so he can up your dosage, you junkie. And it's all legal. What the hell was I thinking growing pot??? I should have become a Pharmacist. Take care, ~Chris |

The real money is in being a CEO or high-up exec in a major pharmaceutical company. They're the one's who see the $$$ from the drug mark-ups. --nathan |

Neighborhood speed shops are dead and buried. The price wars between the mail-order companies killed the smaller shops. On average, a small business can only gross about 10-15% on performance parts. You pay with a credit card, the bank takes 3% off the top. By the time the bills are paid, there is very little left over. I was tempted to come up with a buying club or something along those lines. You pay $20/month, and I would just sell the parts at whatever cost I could get. That way, people could at least save 10-15%. Or maybe just sell the stuff at cost, and charge a flat $5 service fee for processing the order. |
