SVE SuperStang??
I just got back from a car show here in lovely Honolulu, and Ford had what they were calling an SVE SuperStang. I read the specs on it and it said something like 545 rwhp. Anyone know much about this and what the price is. I'm quite sure its not production but was interested in what the price would be to have one.

I saw it in a muscle mustangs and fast fords issue about almost 2 years ago or so. It was a darn nice car. I'm pretty sure thats the only one and I doubt any amount of cash is gonna get that car out of Ford's hands. For now anyways. Glad to see its still around though.

yeah...the Super Stallion. Glad to see they're still prostituting it around the car circuits. If I remember right, that car was also one of the pioneers of their flexible fuel program. It can run on gas or E-85 ethanol alcohol. And the hp numbers on alky are better than the regular gas numbers. No amount of money could buy it, I'm sure. It's kind of like SVTs DFI stroked 429 Cobra from a few years ago. Anyone remember that one? It was 500+ cubic inches and they could never get it to run right. The only time it did run right they spanked that 600+ cubic inch Camaro that GM put up against it, if memory serves me right. They keep it in a warehouse and only bring it out for SVT events. What a waste.

oh man you mean that boss mustang concept. that thing had 800hp and beat that camaro ZL1. that boss mustang could go 230mph and do 0-60 in 1.9 sec. GEEEEEEZ! that thing was awesome. if i could have a mustang it would be that boss mustang. if you go to svt's site and then go to recognition guide you can see specs on it. drooling. the super stallion was nice but i thought the numbers were pretty bad for the amount of power it had.

Lol, I remember seeing that race on some car show. I had taped it. Was one bad sounding car, thats for sure.

Yup....thats the one all right. My honest opinion was that its ugly as sin though. Way too much carbon fiber on it. Oh well, thanks for the responses.

Wishstang- yep...that's the one. Their original intent (besides creaming that ZL1, of course) was to duplicate the "legendary" performance of the AC Cobra and go 0-100-0 in 12 seconds, which they couldn't do. They could never get the car to hang on to all that power (gee...I wonder why) and then bring it back down quick enough. They were close though. Something like 12.5 or 13 seconds. I bet all that front end weight screwed with the suspension geometry too.
