joe4speed 04-08-2002 02:19 AM

yeah, what is it????

tireburner163 04-08-2002 09:18 AM

Looks like a kit car of some type of Jag, Aston Martin, or of a TVR speed 12(I think that's what it's called).

lx mike 04-08-2002 11:09 AM

Isn't that a gt-40 they have been talking about bringing back?? looks a little viperish to me.

MTU 50 04-08-2002 12:17 PM

Looks like some type of new Panoz or something.

Jeb_Bush_2000 04-08-2002 12:45 PM

Looks like a kit car based on an XK180, or an F-Type.

No, wait, it's a "2000 Ronart Lightning".

No, wait, it's a "2000 Ronart Lightning".

It does look a lot like a kit car.

I'm on the phone with my friends and they are informing me it's a TVR. I couldn't find the model on there site.

http://www.tvr-eng.co.uk/

Check it out.

Jeb_Bush_2000 04-08-2002 03:08 PM

It's not a TVR.

silver_pilate 04-08-2002 03:53 PM

You hit it on the head, Jeb.

It's a Ronart Lightning...but it does bear much resemblance to a Jaguar F-type.

It comes with a 4.6L from a '99 Cobra.

Notice just above the grill....looks like there's a blue oval badge.

Hmmm I thought it was a TVR too. From the very first pic it reminded me of a Porche

hillie16 04-09-2002 10:49 AM

1969Mach1 04-09-2002 11:37 AM

Wow that's some interesting stuff. I'll have to pass that on to my friends. Got a link to the company who makes the car? I'll have to check that out for sure. I know my friends will be interested aswell.

Any more cars we can guess on? :D

silver_pilate 04-09-2002 07:09 PM

Ah....that would be another Ford powered car....it has a 32 valve V-8 pushing 355 bhp with 317 ft/lb of torque capable of a top speed of 174 mph and a 4.4 0-60.

That, my friends, is a Spectre R42.

silver_pilate 04-09-2002 10:41 PM

Ah.....the truth must prevail.

To be honest, I simply verified Jeb's answer. I looked up the specs on the guess he posted. I didn't actually know that the pics had the names under the properties until I saved the pic to my computer. Then I saw the car....alas :(. However, I have seen the Spectre prior to this post....

Post more, post more! This time, rename them.
