Thanks, too bad the picture lost some of its quality when i was resizing and croping it. I cant wait for Mercury to get back from PA, so I can get the rest of the pictures his sister took of my car.

I think I remember Mercury posting a pic of your car awhile back. I think it might have been the same pic as in your avatar, but full size.

It is the same picture. His sister took pictures of my car, his old 64 1/2 stang, and my brother in laws old car with her digital camera, But I forgot about them until he posted the picture along with the firebird victory. I downloaded the pic, and resized and cropped it to fit as an avatar, and also sent a cropped version to my user's ride section if you want to see a better quality pic. When he gets back from PA, i'm going to his house to get the other pics on disc, since his e-mail is screwed up. I'll post some of them to my user's ride section too. When we get my brothers camaro fixed back up Ill get her to take pics of it too, BTW I got him to register here as 92RS350. We pulled the 3.1 V6 out of his 92 RS, and dropped a RamJet 350 in its place. Its a sharp looking car too.

I have a friend with a 92 RS with a 305. It's a damn nice looking car, but it's slower than crap. I love the looks of it though.

Once we get that new Transmission in the car it will run sweet again we put two 700-R4's in the car and both burned out in a span of two weeks so now we are going to convert it over two a TH-350 I hope that works

1Bad89 has a 700R4 in his S-10. It's making a little over 700hp on nitrous. Why do yours keep frying

700R-4
I have no idea why the transmissions keep burning up. There is a new radiator in the car, the lines were flushed, and are not kinked. The first trans lost 3rd&4th, the new one is slipping in 2nd&4th. The TV cable is adjusted perfectly. The first trans was out of the donor car we bought for the rearend, and engine front drive accessories. It had some miles, and I believe it couldnt handle the motor (it came from behind a TBI 305) which is a RamJet 350 crate motor (350HP, 400ft/lb TQ) The current trans is a TCI unit from Jegs. We're running a aux. cooler and B&M Fluid per TCI. I believe it was just a bad transmission from the start. I never liked the way it shifted into 2nd from the time it was installed. The car runs great in 1st, then you feel it shift sortof, the tach jumps up to about 5000, and the car just holds its speed, then it hits third and accelerates again. It also shifts and accelerates fine at part throttle, but when you put some torque to it, it slips.
I work at the ford dealer here as a tech, but i handle the manual transmissions. I talked to our auto trans man, and he said its probably a faulty servo or somethin'. Tim |

Hey Tim.
Did you try the disk I gave you yet? See how some of those pics work out. Hey 92RS350. Dont worry man, your brother will get it right. If anyone if Fayetteville can do it, he can. Me and him have "Modified" the hell out of some stuff before to make it work. Its amazing what a roll of duct tape, electrical tape, and some left over wire can do.

I tried the disc Merc, but I already had those pics, I want to try to take some more pics from different angles maybe this weekend.
BTW, Dad was on ThirdGen.org (camaro site), and read a post from a guy wanting to put a RamJet in his 91 camaro. He was asking what was needed to do the swap and if his trans would work. Several people replied they had done the swap, and all burnt up their 700 R-4s. One guy even said he burnt the TCI from Jegs, just like us. I guess we'll try the TH350 I built. Hope it holds out. Also my parts havent got here yet. Maybe Wednesday. Tim |
