Post Celica and Stang GT Similiarities

Anybody else ever notice how the rear of Celica GT bears a very strong resemblence to to 99 and newer Stang? Even the GT emblem is nearly identical. Guess if you can't beat it, copy it!!

Dude, maybe I'm outta line here since I'm not a Stanger but comparing ricey celicas to any muscle car, GT/Camaro is just plain wrong. I mean I can understand if you said a Supra or 300ZX. Those at least have the muscle to back it up but celica....blah!

I was referring to the body lines and not to performance. Given that Stangs are such a hot seller, did Toyota purposely copy the sleek lines to boost sales? Point to ponder.

A little, but if you look at it, it's already been determined that the Celica is 1/2 Cougar, and 1/2 Focus. Same with that little **** the Echo being a Focus and a Aspire.

Their new truck the Tundra is nothing but an F-150.

Toyota has been copying everything Ford makes, then making minor revisions to it.

Whatever.

Did you know the Tundra was going to be called the "T-150"? But Ford complained for obvious reasons.

Very interesting. One would think that a strong resemblence would a violation/infringement upon copyright or design rights. On a different note they can keep on copying as long as they do not drop a motor that can open a can of whoopass on the new GT.

1. Its an attempt at a joke about Civics w/ Type R stickers.
2. I don't know. Why do you see Civics w/ Type R stickers (in the US)?
