Tireburner FINALLY gets a real stang

As of noon yesterday I am the proud owner of a 1991 Mustang GT vert, 5-speed. It's got gears, a shifter, off-road H-pipe, flows, and a K&N.

It's got 50K miles on a new motor. I paid 1K for her

Now the problem.....it's smashed, lol. I thought the frame was bent ,but after driving it, it tracks straight as a arrow. I think now that it is just the radiator core support.....I think that's what it's called (I'll post pics later). I was gonna use it as a donor car for my 2.3, but this car is just too damn nice to to fix. The paint is less than 2 months olds and the top is only like a month old.

BTW......this thing hauls ***;)

PS. anybody with a radiator core support, or GT front cap peices for sale let me know.:)

I'm really don't think the frame is bent much, if any. As you can see I'll need a new radiator core support, hood, fenders, front cap, bummber and headlights.

Over all, I think it will be nice once it's fixed.:)

Hell, Josh, pull the other fender off and you will have eliminated the weight disadvantatage that goes with 'verts!

I'm very happy for you, actually. Must be something in the air. I just bought an engine today.

Projects are healthy.

:)

Take care,
~Chris

Congrats Tireburner ... I hate to be the one who throws cold water on your project but you have some damage on that car that needs to be looked into ! The car for sure has some twist in it ... check the door gaps on each side and compare ... the apron is bent on the right side ... the fender reinforcement is bent on the right side ... the rails are damaged in front (see how the absorbers are pointed down ?) The misalignment on the right front tire may be from suspension damage or from the bent apron ... if you leave that stuff as is, it can cause you lots of grief not to mention it compromises the integrity of the structure enough that if you got into another accident it could put a major hurtin on you.
Take it to a body shop and have them give you an assesment on the damage. its not likely anything that couldnt' be fixed but you do need a little pull time on that chassis !

Spoil sport!
