"ricers" want attention plain and simple. they don't want their car to be fast, they want it to stand out. and they do it by making it loud (not to be confused with fast) by means of 4" exhuast tips and $3K sound systems, eye catching/squinting with bright/rediculous paint schemes and chrome rims, and making it "look" fast (or so they think) with bodykits, 2 foot high spoilers, and by making it essentially glow in the dark with neons and crap.

"rice" is not a specific overall group of car guys. like it's been said before, "rice" is a state of mind. people create "rice" to create attention to themselves. and you know what? it works. it doesn't necessarily bring them respect, but they still get the attention they desire. mainly because they inferiorate true enthusiasts like us Stang lovers. and it's huge discussions like this that give the "rice world" exactly what they want.

FATF did what it set out to do. someone said they didn't like the movie simply because it was over-advertised. name a huge movie hit that WASN'T overadvertised. Gone in 60 secs was advertised just as much as the FATF was. it made a TON of money, that's the only reason they made it was to make big money on it. i mean c'mon people, it's a ******* MOVIE for cryin out loud!! so what's the big deal? true enthusiasts who know their stuff shouldn't be mad at the makers of that movie because bottom line is, we should just let the morons that think that movie is 100% true to life keep RIGHT ON thinking that. there's nothing that we'll ever do to make them think it's a bunch of BS entertainment. if they're dumb enough to believe it, do you really think they'll listen to us try to tell them it's way past even being close to the truth? don't think so. if they want to be ignorant, LET THEM and just go about your day, geez.
