Is this too weird?
Maybe it's just me...but I think my cat has suffered a mental breakdown. Ever since my dad died she's been nuts. We've got 2 cats and one of them doesn't seem to have changed much. The crazy one gets even more nuts around my mom which is odd because she used to come ONLY to my mom. And both of the cats used to always sleep on my parent's bed and now they won't go anywhere near it. I tossed one of them onto the bed the other day and it took off like it had N20 (just had to put a car reference in here somewhere. Hehe. ). Is this insanely weird or is it just me? Do cats have mental breakdowns like humans do? And it really creeps me out that they won't go near my parent's bed.

Cat's are pretty smart, sorry to hear about your dad. I liked the N20 remark. =P

Animals can usually sense when something is wrong, and maybe the cats are scared. If a cat can be trained to come to dinner with a bell (or whatever) I'm sure they can comprehend that they have masters and when one vanishes it probably freaks them out. My dog was freaking out before there was a big earthquake here in washington like a year ago, so maybe animals can sense more than we think. That is odd, though.

At the present time I have about 15 cats. Three cats and a whole truck load of kittens, I guess the outside cat just gets around a little. About two years ago it got into some antifreeze and is all screwed up know. It walks into walls and just goes balistic every time it hears my lawn mower crank in the garage. It will let you pet it but you have to be the crocidile hunter and "NEEK" up on her. It is kinda funny though. It will jump off the freezor and forget to put it's feet down and Belly flop onto the concrete. She don't walk so well anymore either. they are smart untill they get into some antifreeze.

Wow...anytime ANYONE gets into some ethylene glycol they're luck to live. Especially a cat or dog. You're lucky it just got away with a fuct up personality. One of my old friends had a dog who somehow got a candy bar away from him and had a seizure after eating it (because of the chocolate). That dog was soooo nuts after that.
