Post Toronto Street Racing BUSTED last night !!

I just wanted to write that last night, at Yorkdale Mall, I went for the first time to a meeting of the Toronto Street Racing Forum.

I was there for 5 minutes, before cops blocked off all exits to/from the north parking lot, and we were told that because of a few "morons" in the prior weeks squeeling and driving dangerously, ALL cars would be checked for emissions, and otherwise "illegal" mods (like stickers, 1 windshield wiper, etc) and cars that failed would have to be "re-certified, or re-tested for emissions.. I watched a few tow trucks come in and pull stuff away, and watched some tempers fly !!

There were a lot of import guys with such setups, BUT, basically, I got out around 1 AM, I really wonder what's going to happen with this forum, the cops really seemed to be getting on the gun (haha, no pun intended)

I'm just glad that some of you Toronto guys weren't there w/ off-road h-pipes, or SC/Turbo/NOS, cause you woulda been hassled LIKE MAD !

So that's my Sunday night story.

Superchargers, turbo, and NITROUS OXIDE are all street legal here in the US. Are they not legal in Ontario?

Exclamation

I'm pretty sure they are legal. But I'm sure they would use that as an excuse to go through the car and make sure it still passes emissions tests.

When I was in Toronto, the Cops were all over the rice like flys to stink! They were leaving the mustang and camaro guys alone.

Unhappy

thats a shame, when iwas youngwe could race just about anywhere, i ain't like that anymore too many car's around they should just block off area's on the weekend's and just let everyone go at it, that's the way it should be but alas, it's notgee busted for sticker's the steet's would be rice free then, i heard 20 stickers will add a good 40 hp to a car, hehe take care.

Whew! I'm glad that I was too tired to show up there last night!

Last week on Sunday night at the same spot, there were a few idiots in their ricers doing burnouts, etc. Everyone was yelling at them to stop, but someone else was videotaping, so most of them kept going on like fools for the camera...

The same thing happened at their last "cruise in" spot. They actually had permission from a Costco to gather in the parking lot as long as people didn't race, do buronouts, etc, etc.

Again, a few total morons ruined it for everyone by doing just those things...

I guess some people will just never learn...

That relly sucks. I would have never made it out of there. My car would have been up on that trailer. I hate that stuff so much when ppl gotta ruin a good thing like that. In my home town during the halloween parade they let the local club run open headers as long as there are no burnouts during the parde. There hasn't been any instances yet. Then again the club is all old cars with mostly older guys.

It's just all part of being a ricer. That's one of the reasons I can't stand those morons.
