Transmission help!!!

I put a 4 speed toploader in my 70 coupe, it came out of a falcon, the hurst shifter does not line up at all!!! ford put this in this car, what part do i not have and where can i find it?

where do you live, i got a 65 falcon, im putting a 69 mustang 302, -- 4 speed in it, trade shifters with ya?.

surely someone other than me has seen this???? i mean the shifter is an inch higher than the hump, and an inch and a half to the left of the hole... i'm driving around with a towel stuffed into a hole where a shifter should be, and a peeled back chunk of steel by my gas pedal!!! HELP!!!
