I was out driving the stang last night, actually driving it nice and slow, then as I pull into my GF house I hear something....
Yep one of the rods decided it wanted a life outside the cylinder walls (didn't quite make it though). damn, did you have any indication beforehand that your car had any problems? My engine is sickly...rod knock, flat cam lobe on #4 and several collapsed lifters. I'm just waiting for something to fly out of the block, but the damn thing doesn't die (i've driven this cheap POS for almost 2 years now with these probs and the only thing that actually failed was the timing chain). That was a nailbiter....once it dies i'm gonna invest in PAW's 427 stroked/bored 351W kit. mmmm....torque. Sorry to hear about your loss, but hey you're looking on the bright side and no one got hurt so it's not all that bad.
