what shes talking about is true, but still is pointless...in reality, the amount of crap we've spewed into the sky in the past 100+ years of being technologically advanced doesn't even come close to a mere smidge of what a volcano does to the atmosphere....and since thats natural and happens rather often, its obvious that our planet can handle air pollution...course its still not nice to breathe in when its close to the ground :\

jj_jonathan, you're not a geologist are you? I'm in my 4th year of Geological Sciences and boy do I have fun having debates with environmentalists about global warming and the CO2 content in the air! One good eruption puts more sulfur compounds in the air than we ever have with automobiles.

actually im starting college in the fall as a physics/astronomy major ....but i learned a lot about more than just physics in high school...i had a really good teacher (not to mention one stellar student)..and i got involved in one of their conversations (as i used to do often) so i learned a lot from there...and this was a topic of interest one day...and it makes perfect sense...with what we use today, well never be able to compare our waste level to volcanoes...but like i said...i dont exactly wanna live next to a factory, or be stuck behind a guy burning oil as he drives
