Venting about a motorcycle

Ok, so my buddy just got himself a GSXR 750. I'm not sure if its new, but, well, now it's not! He had ridden it for a month or so before he let his friend on it. His friend was going around the block with it. We wait an hour! Finally a cop car pulls up with his friend in it. He walks up to us, hands my buddy the right mirror, says nothing, and drives home! In shock, my buddy learns from the cops that his friend went into a turn too hot and absolutely totalled it! The guy was fine, but the bike was gone! Just a little angry with him that's all. Thanks for letting me vent.

PS: that's why I don't let anyone ride my bike!

Bike Killa

Crappy deal. I can see why you're annoyed and your friend must be really angry.

This is why I never let anyone drive my cars. I don't have a bike but I can't imagine letting anyone 'take a spin' on one I might own considering how easily a bike can be damaged if mishandled, as in your friends case.

Hope insurance pays off and he gets a replacement bike.

I also hope he considers ending that 'friendship' unless the other guy (the bike-killer) offers - sincerely - to help pay the insurance deductable...if insurance even covers this accident.

BTW: That bit of the bike-killa handing your friend the mirror is right out a 'B'-movie, by the way. Lame.

omg, what a ******* idiot. Anyone who cares about their bike does NOT let just "one of his friends" ride it. Sorry, but that's just setting yourself up for a bad situation.

total *******.. I never let anyone ride it, Not just if they wreck it, but I couldn't imagine how I'd feel if they got seriously injured or killed on it!
Good luck to your friend! :(

I'll let people ride my bike or drive my cars. Depending on the person. Nobody who doesn't know exactly what they are doing will ride the bike. Too dangerous as they could get hurt.

Oh, by the way, his friend is a (*&^()^&^%&^^*(&*%&^(()^&%)&**()$. That's one of the lamest things I've ever heard of.

I learned my lesson in high school. I loaned my car to a "friend" and she hit a parked car. Destroyed my car and the parked car, I'm not sure how fast she was going. Anywho, I never, ever let anyone drive my car now except for my husband. And of course my 15 year old daughter is dying to drive it. Ha Ha lots of luck there, Ain't happening. Sorry to hear about your friends bike. :(
