Tire Help. Please!!
Hey Guys,
I know you are going to think I am pretty stupid for having to ask this question. but I look at it as there are no stupid questions, just stupid people. so I'll ask anyways. I know that I need new tires but I don't really know much about tires. Can you guys tell me exactly what I should know to buy tires for my 95 GT with the stock 5star rims, size, width, etc. And also, I'm a poor little college student so I was also wondering if anyone knows a any good websites to get tires cheap. Thanks alot guys, Scott

well i think the stock tires are 225 55R 16, you can find that on the side of the tire... first off the first numbers are the tire width in millimeters, the second numbers the 55 is the aspect ratio... this means that the sidewall height of the tire is 55% the width of the tire the 225 number... the R means radial and the 16 is the rim size...
try www.tirerack.com they have decent prices... Steve |
