Default Moved to Texas, have no tools,no job,car broke down

Right now I need to replace the serpentine belt that drives the accessories, but have no tools to work on the car.The smog pump has seized so I got myself a shorter belt to try to bypass it,but again because I have no tools I cannot do anything with the car.

At this point,I am low on money,I still need to find a job here in Texas, but with the car broke down, I cannot do anything..

So,I ask is there anyone around the San Antonio Area/Floresville area that could possibly help me get a belt put on this car?

I wish that I could help you. But I moved far away from Texas. There has got to be someone on this site that would give you a hand. Everyone here is great.

You really only need a big heavy screwdriver or piece pipe. Stick it down to the left of the pulley on the tensioner, push against the pivot and that will release the tension. If you have the right size belt and the routing decal is still under the hood, it should work pretty easily.

Now, I'm not sure you can do this with the supercharger on your car, but I just went down to my garage and the above worked fine on my stock '89.

Ya,I guess the thing I mainly need the tools for,is to loosen up the blower belt so I can remove it,then place the short on the accessories.

Well, I tried. Sorry, but a service call from Maryland would be a little far for me.

Maybe after some of these Jamokes get home from work, they'll be able to help you.
