What do you call your car?

I call mine "The Grinch"
Freinds call it the snot rocket, bugger, and feeling froggy.
I even refer to it as the "ol wagon" at times.
What do you call yours?

Maroon 5.0 LX 01-07-2003 07:54 AM

"The Mustang"

WADS56 01-07-2003 07:58 AM

It depends on how the car is acting. When it is good to me i call it Betsy, When it acts up or leaves me stranded it's name it ***** (aka female dog).

cyberstang5.0 01-07-2003 08:03 AM

My first Mustang was named "Molly"
My current one is "Sally"
I'm trying very hard to get my GF to name her's :D

CADreamin 01-07-2003 09:30 AM

Mine's "Li'l Bandit", courtesy of my girlfriend. She just started calling it that one day and the name stuck. The name is a reference to Snake (the career criminal) and his car on "The Simpsons"

bigred90gt 01-07-2003 09:53 AM

Mine is Bigred. Even though it is maroon, I have plans to paint it red to match the name. I grew up with a bunch of thugs, so the color red just stuck with me.

tireburner163 01-07-2003 10:35 AM

I've never gotten around to naming my mustangs.:o

Dark_5.0 01-07-2003 10:50 AM

I usually refer to my cobra as da snake.

My 90LX has no name yet I have to see how it performs at the track. Hopefully "The Beast" will fit it.;)

88workcar I like the color of your car cause it is different. I am thinking about going with a bright orange for my stang.

The Deuce 01-07-2003 12:07 PM

Right now they are "the bike" and "the GT."

I've called the car many different things, Sally, 'The Turd' (since its supposed to be the slowest of the GT's) 'The Freak', see sig..

I plan on getting an older one, so I may end up calling it them cammer, and the windsor but only time will tell.

D7M8 01-07-2003 01:21 PM

I had a 95 blue thunderbird that I called blue beast and when the tranny went out I called it blue lemon.

I call my mustang "She" and "Her". I reckon she needs a real name but I haven't gotten around to it, yet.

MissBlondie 01-07-2003 01:23 PM

I call it "mah baby" since I don't have one :(

PKRWUD 01-07-2003 01:48 PM

The truck.

LayanRubr 01-07-2003 01:50 PM

Mines the Blue Baron :D

stangsrule 01-07-2003 01:56 PM

I'm thinking about calling mine "Clark Kent" because except for the Stormin Norman hood it looks totally stock, down to the pony rims. It is totally docile and unassuming looking (though the exhaust note does give it some authority, even at idle) and you can't hear the Kenne Bell supercharger at idle... BUT when the bad guys come around she will FLY and usually beat the crap out of them! :D Thought about Silver Bullit but have seen that one too many times and besides, I have spent a lot of time and effort to keep mine a sleeper so I think the dual personality of Clark Kent is fitting. Or maybe it shoud be Jekel & Hyde...;)

Stang_Crazy 01-07-2003 02:01 PM

Mine's called Whistler. It's not to hard to figure out why ;)

8T4SVOChick 01-07-2003 05:35 PM

The Mustang

I just refer to mine as the Mustang. My wife calls it "that @#$%& money sucking piece of &^%$# ****". I asked her if her car could run a 13.6? She said what's a 13.6? So now you know why I just call it the Mustang.

LOL :D

I refer to it as either the "Fox", the "79", or the "The Stang" (pronounced with emphasis). I relate to it more as a pet than a woman. It can't compare to a woman (....in some ways, at least ;) )

Well, here's the history...

The first car I owned outright was a '72 Nova called "The Green Monster", or more affectionately, "The Green Death" -- If you saw it and drove it, you would understand.

Next, I got a '95 Saturn SC-2. My friend nicknamed it "The Batmobile" - and it stuck.

Next, I got a '98 Jeep Cherokee with the brushguard on the front, and it became appropriately known as "The Deerslayer". I lived in the country, and the deer would dart out in front all the time (hence a large part of the reason for the upgrade in vehicle - safety). I also planned to (and did) off-road. It had the name before the first kill (and the deer hit me! It was a Kamakazi Deer - I'm serious!). I must sadly report it had a total of 2 kills in it's short but frantic life. Anyone who doubts my safety claim understand this - I'm the only person in my neighborhood who hit a deer without any vehicular damage (the minimum repair was over $2,000 for everyone else, and a few people had their cars totalled!).

Until this point, I only had 1 vehicle. Then I got as a second vehicle my 1996 Mustang Cobra Convertible - or as it is most affectionately know as... "The Toy".

My Jeep was totalled at 140,000 miles in 3 years, and "The Toy" became an everyday car, but the name stayed.

Lastly, we come to what was my first and most recent aquisition. In the late 70's my Dad got a 1966 Mustang from an employee of his. I immediately laid claim to it, like any good kid would. It wasn't until last year, though, that I gave my father the money for it and he gave me the car! It has no real name, though if I had to tell someone a name for it, it would be "Jerry's Car", in honor of the original owner.

So there has always been a Mustang lurking in my life. It's only in the last couple years though that I have gone ahead full throttle on enjoying them.
