Well, here's the history...

The first car I owned outright was a '72 Nova called "The Green Monster", or more affectionately, "The Green Death" -- If you saw it and drove it, you would understand.

Next, I got a '95 Saturn SC-2. My friend nicknamed it "The Batmobile" - and it stuck.

Next, I got a '98 Jeep Cherokee with the brushguard on the front, and it became appropriately known as "The Deerslayer". I lived in the country, and the deer would dart out in front all the time (hence a large part of the reason for the upgrade in vehicle - safety). I also planned to (and did) off-road. It had the name before the first kill (and the deer hit me! It was a Kamakazi Deer - I'm serious!). I must sadly report it had a total of 2 kills in it's short but frantic life. Anyone who doubts my safety claim understand this - I'm the only person in my neighborhood who hit a deer without any vehicular damage (the minimum repair was over $2,000 for everyone else, and a few people had their cars totalled!).

Until this point, I only had 1 vehicle. Then I got as a second vehicle my 1996 Mustang Cobra Convertible - or as it is most affectionately know as... "The Toy".

My Jeep was totalled at 140,000 miles in 3 years, and "The Toy" became an everyday car, but the name stayed.

Lastly, we come to what was my first and most recent aquisition. In the late 70's my Dad got a 1966 Mustang from an employee of his. I immediately laid claim to it, like any good kid would. It wasn't until last year, though, that I gave my father the money for it and he gave me the car! It has no real name, though if I had to tell someone a name for it, it would be "Jerry's Car", in honor of the original owner.

So there has always been a Mustang lurking in my life. It's only in the last couple years though that I have gone ahead full throttle on enjoying them.
