What do you think of this Cobra?
Well as the topic says, what do you think of this Cobra. It's a local car to me, I've seen it at a few shows and it's a pretty sweet car. May of not of been the route I would of gone if it was upto me but I still like it. The people on Stangnet bashed the **** out of the car, but anycar that puts down 444.9hp to the wheels is pretty sweet to me. Just curious what everyone thinks here. Be honest, you won't hurt my feelings because I don't know the LADY who owns it personally.

I don't see anything wrong with it....I don't like it....but I don't think anything is wrong with it
The paint and interior don't agree with my tastes.

I can appreciate the work that went into it, but it is heading a little toward the ricer side of things. As you said, probably not the route I would have gone, but I do like it. I don't think I would drive it, but I do like it. And, it does have the power to back up its looks.

I agree, wayyy too flashy for me, but its got some serious power though. I wouldnt drive it, but I wouldnt turn down a little test drive. - John

Not what i would do too it. You cant call it a ricer because it definently has the power to back it up

I personally think it is a sweet ride. I wouldn't do it to my car, but I would definately drive it. I would also show it. That thing has got to have a roomful of trophies.

Ahh....well here is abit more of the story. I wanted to see some of the initial response. The car was given to her by her grandmother which passed on before her grandmother could see the car in person, and the grandmother always wanted flames put on the car, and her favorite colour was purple. That is why there is purple flames.
Here is the thread stating how people were bashing it on Stangnet, I knew we had better taste then that site (Sorry that board has always been known to me as a flaming board compared to this one) http://www.expectmods.com/gtamc/foru...&threadid=3199 §am.

Impressed... yes...
Would I go that direction with a car that I owned? Absolutely not...

Did you guys, and gals, read some of the comments on the thread in stangnet? What a bunch of assholes!!! One guy said yellow is rice. WTF??? Another person said that if it were black with red/orange flames it would be sweet, but since it s yellos w/ purple flames it's ugly. Yeah, OK! I'm really glad I found this place before I checked out stangnet. I would have given up on message boards. Just felt the urge to vent after reading such crap.

Black w/ orange flames (fading to yellow), and a usable trunk, and I'd love it.
Take care, ~Chris

its a nice showcar, too flashy for a daily driver IMo. yellow has to be worked reeel carefully cause its so bright and attention getting, to add another warm color is dangerous as it confuses the eyes by playing havoc into a person's ability to judge something aestheticlly pleasing. to produce a clean idea of what the car is .. stick with strictly cooler secondary colors (if any other).. the purple is a nice choice, black is also a classic color that goes with anything IMO

I believe that the car is slightly changed now.
she has side exhaust, got rid of the Altezzas (thank god) and also got rid of the 2000 Cobra R wing. I think she put the regular Cobra wing back on it. Personally I love the exterior of the car. I think that is my favorite body style and I love the front 2000 Cobra R airdam. I think the paint looks pretty sweet too. Motor kicks azz. I don't like the interior or the trunk. I really don't like the extra little crap that people do to make it a show car. All the little accents are too flashy. But it would be easy enough to change that back. You guys check out the lightning on that web page. It's pretty sweet too, has a South Park theme. Cause they are from Toronto it also has Terrance and Phillip on the underside of the hood. Later Conrad

It's not Terrance and Phillip, it's Kyles little brother Ike, he's Canadian too.

Well, Other then I don't like yellow on most stangs, (other then yours) I don't think it all that bad. The yellow headlight black outs are dumb, but otherwise, I like it.

Hey all, while I understand that it's certainly not everyone's choice, I'm sure you can appreciate that, yes, it is a show car.
And thank you for not flaming me And yes, the clear altezzas are long gone, I don't know what posessed me at the time, as is the Cobra R wing, which is now a Saleen S281 wing. As for the paint, there's reasons behind that. Here is a most recent shot of the car PICTURE HERE Later! Vanessa Last edited by XtremeSVTgirl; 12-06-2002 at 06:25 PM.. |
