Default What is Your Greatest Fear?

What is your greatest fear in life? Also explain why you feel this way. I am just curious on how everyone see's life, and compare it to myself.
I want everyone to vote, and if you want a add a post explaining why thats cool.

Thanks All,
I figure this will help me understand life and may help some of you all out too.

I chose disabled or very ill... That's a tough choice, all of those I would never want to happen(one has)

I see people that are very sick or disabled, and realize how awful it must be on a daily basis, with no hope. I couldn't imagine that feeling.

To tell you the truth, my biggest fear is being buried alive. I didn't realize I was claustraphobic until I had to have a MRI, freaked me out!

The big fear in life for me is inevitable, losing my parents would be the worst thing that could happen to me. I can deal with failing and being deathly sick.. I'm just real close to my family. I lost my grandfather last year and the salt began to burn my face..

Thinking about it, I guess if I had a kid and wife that would be the worst thing I could lose.

My biggest fear is definitely failing in life. I've had to think about this before for an English Comp assignment. If I had one wish that would be granted, I would wish for guaranteed success in life at whatever I end up doing.

I put down "Being permanently disabled or ill" but i would really say that insects/spiders/etc. are my biggest fear, those things flip me out. I am deathly afraid of heights, but can overcome that cause i love climbing, but i can't stand bugs.

Sorry to hear about that crazy horse gt. I know it's never easy to loose a family member. I lost my grandfather like 13 years ago. I was only 5, but I remember him so good. I still think about him and how much I miss him. We would of been best friends, we were so similar, I was his favorite grandson. I was even named after him. It's not easy loosing a family member. These are all really answers that you don't want to happen but if you could choose.
I wake up everyday wondering what will be there in the future for me.

Take it Easy All.

Yeah, that's really hard losing someone you love. I lost my Father, Grandmother, and Uncle this year. It's been a shitty year over here! You never get over it, you just learn to deal with it. But it happens to everyone, so it is inevitable.

Tough one:

For me I think it's got to be "Failure in Life". I hate feeling like a looser! It might be loss of a family member...cept I don't really have any that I know....

True True, but this is your Greatest fear. Like I'm not overly scared of dieing. When it happens it will happen. Like some people are scared to die. But I get what your saying.

Default Hmm, this is a tough one!

Id definatly say for me that being alone in life would be one of the things I fear the most! To me what good is life if you have on one to share it with no one to share your accomplishments with your dreams your hopes your fears. I dont know I guess thats just the way my grandma raised me coming through, but I really do believe it. And with that I think losing a family member would fall in right next to being my biggest fear. Cuz family is special to me and they are also the people I share many things in my life with. The other things like being financially broke or disabled I would just have to pull myself up by my boot straps and move on you know. Just like my b/fs car we both are just going to have to pull ourselves up by our boot straps and move on. Although, dying young woulndnt be so scary for me cuz I have the most serious fear of getting old so anyways I hope this helps

I feel the same way, what good is life if you have no one to share it with. I don't think I could go old with no one. I need to have someone to talk to share my feelings. I love listening to people. Out of everyone I know they all come to me for there problems, I love helping them out. Dieing young doesn't worry me to much, not that I'm afraid to get old, because I'm only 17 but I look forward to getting old starting a family having a good job.
Rather depressing post, but really makes you think what you appreciate for the Christmas season.

I put failing in my as my biggest fear. I am not scared of death or of loosing any family memebers or anything cuz that stuff is supossed to happen. That is just being part of living. as far as being disabled depends on the disability. I think being blind the worst one of them all. I couldn't handle not being able to see.

Well.......I had to think about this for a while, but this is the sad truth. I've had all of those happen to me already, except the dying young thing. Then again, I'm not afraid of death at all. Death can suck my arse-cheeks as far as I'm concerned. I'm nearly broke, I'm alone, I've lost both friends and family close to me, and I am pretty f-ed up medically (asthma, diabetes, acute rhinitis, Hashimoto's, shall I go on?). I have an objection to the part about failing in life...how do you define that?!? I mean, life is what you make it. There is absolutely NO reason ANYONE should have to fail unless they allow themselves to, or they allow themselves to THINK that they're failures. That's all subjective and relative material. Look at it this way: do you consider Bill Gates a failure? Hell no, no one would. HOWEVER, how many people HATE Bill Gates? Probably more people than I even know. The same could be said of almost everybody famous or in the political arena. How would you like it if a LOT of people hated you? Would you then consider yourself a success? That's something to ponder.

Myself, I think it would be a failure if I had no friends. I depend on, trust, and cohere to my friends. They are what make my life really fun and give me a reason to keep going even if things get rough. Oh, I can't forget to include my family in this line, either! They've always been there for me, too, even sometimes when I don't want them to be, hehehe.

Default Death

In whatever form it chooses to take, or whom ever it touches death is my greatest fear. I do not worry about failing in life because I don't think I can. I grew up being financially broke so that is nothing new. But death on the other hand wakes me in the middle of the night. I don't think I slept very much without getting up to check on my son and daughter to make sure that they were still breathing when they were babies. There are a lot of things that float around in my head but for now we will just say that yes, death is by far my greatest fear.

This poll is everything I wanted to get out of it. Everyone has there own views on there life. I orignally posted this because I don't always get along with my g/f and I always wonder and get questioned why I am still with her, we don't hate each other, we just disagree and I'm still young (17) and I just can't handle being alone. It would hurt me to much to think that I may never find someone that cares for me cause I know she cares for me. That is what worries me all the time.
Back to srv1 point of me being afraid to die. Not at all, it never bothers me. If I'd to die I would want to go out being a hero and known for something. Like if I ever seen someone's life in danger I would race to help them even if it would risk my life. Just the type of person I am. I would take a bullit to save someone's life. I'm not afraid to die, I got into a accident last week and I went back to the spot and I missed 2 poles by like a foot on each side and stopped about a foot and a half infront of a big tree and made me wonder I could of just died but that doesn't bother me. The fact that I could of taken someone elses life bothered me.

Take it Easy,
Enjoy life for all of it's value, never miss a minute of adventure and never be scared to do anything in life because tommorow may not come by.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
