What's the quickest car that you have ever ridden in?
 

I guess mine would be a 1994 Viper RT/10 (only 300 miles on the odometer). It definitely had a lot of torque.:)

A '63 Impala. Did low 8s in the 1/8 mile.

Actually, my car is the second "quickest" car I've ever ridden in. Guess I need to get out more, huh.

I really need to get out!! The quickest I had been in was my 1st stang. Never got it to the track to see how quick it was because I wrecked it after only owning it 3 mos.( damn positrac) Anyways, all I can tell you is, it would put some G's on you when you stomped on it. Man, I miss that car:(

my car...... or not. actually, i rode in my friends 70(?) nova with a healthy 383 this summer. he claims 11's but hasn't raced it yet. all i know is if that's what an 11 sec car feels like, i won't be happy until i have a ride pushing low 10's. ;)

The fastest car I ever rode int was a 70's Dodge Aspen. Wnt 6.94 in the 1/8th with a small block. I didnt get ro run it but just warm it up a little. It freakin rocked. Heres the car but i'm not driving.

I drove a viper RT/10 and was nothing compared to my cousins 2000 porsche 911 turbo, i drove it for an hour for my graduation present from him.

Now that's a graduation gift!:D

BTW, what year was the Viper?

when i was like sixteen i got to ride in a 427 'ac cobra'........
i didn't know the guy so i have have no idea if it was an origanal or a replica .....the guy said it was a real one ,but i didn't know enough to know if he was lying or not........i didn't even know the guy and it was like luck that i got the ride..........it was like in the late eightys and i was walking to work ,i saw this ac cobra sitting outside a mini market ......i stopped to look at it .......well when the guy came out of the store......i told him i liked his car and made a comment as sort of a joke about catching a ride........well he said "hope in".....to my amazment ,he was seriose and we went for a quick little ride.......

he didn't go real fast but he did goose it once.....the thing about snaped my neck .........was a real cool experience i'll never forget.........whether it was an origanal 427 ac cobra probly not.....but i like believing it was .......and who know's maybe it was

A 1979 Chevy Monza with a 350 and nitrous! :) It ran 11's last I knew... I was petrified the way that thing rattled and shaked at 140!!! But I loved it! I'll have to post a pic sometime! Te guy that owned it, got me into cars, he taught me ALOT! :)

The fastest car I've ever ridden in is Tom Moore & Dennis Lugo's Outlaw ride. It's been 8.07 @ 174.

The fastest car I've driven is Dennis Lugo's Twin Turbo car. It's been 8.30 @160, but I couldn't get it to quit spinning tires.

My car has been 9.80 @ 140, and that's pretty much the fastest I've been in my own car...

Hammer's Yellowjacket. That car hauls. He just needs some traction. I bet with slick it would be a high 11 low 12 second car.

For me that would have to be a '70 mercury Cyclone Spoiler GT/ 429 scj.
It was so fast I couldn't handle it. And I drove the racecar cause I always turned better times than him..but I made him sell it and get me something I could handle.. It was way too powerful, and I'm not scared to drive any racecar.;)

My brother Steve's '70 Pontiac Firechicken with a 400 motor. I was only 13 at the time and he scarred me for life when he nailed it from a roll. I don't remember what gears he said he had but he had dumps on Thrush mufflers and that thing was LOUD, sounded mean as hell too.

My friend's 8 second alcohol injected smallblock nostalgia dragster. OK, so I only steered it while we towed it back to the pits...
Unfortunately the fastest car I've ever ridden in was an import. My friend's 97 Eclipse GST ran mid-11s with severely limited traction at over 125mph. 27psi of boost - he beat my FZR600 from a 20mph roll up to 145mph on the freeway... I used to adjust his fuel and timing curves with a handheld LCD keypad while he drove it to tune.
The same friend with the dragster is finishing his '63 Chevy II and it should blow away the Eclipse. 383 stroker with a 6-71...

Man....Those are some pretty serious cars!

fastest car was my 12.5sec vert. Fastest I have been was 11.4s on my bike :) Going for lower lls possibly 10s if I can get my 60ft down.

My ex's 65 nova, it ran 8.60's.

Well, I guess for me it would be when I drove a Viper...unfortunately I was in a SUBDIVISION, AND WAS SCARED TO TAKE IT OUT OF 3RD....Didn't wanna run the risk of running over kids and taking out a few mailboxes!!!!! The POTENTIAL POWER though, I could feel.....:( Just wish I could have let her rip w/ out getting my butt thrown in jail for wreckless endangerment if I had!!!!:rolleyes:

Nope. My balls aren't that big. The fastest car I ever rode in was also the only car I've ever pissed in my pants in. It was a Vega with a nitrous injected, 671 blown 427. With me in the passenger seat, it ran a 9 second quarter.

hey pkrwud, did the vega guy get mad when you pissed on his seat bwahahaha, fastest factory car i rode in was a 64 gto 389 4-speed, second a 69 torinogt cj-4 speed:) :D

He wasn't happy that it happened in his car, but he thought it was funny, so he didn't kill me. You bring up a point I hadn't considered; fastest factory car. That's tough. It was either a Boss 429 Mustang or a 63 Dodge with a Max Wedge 426.

The fastest car i have ridden in was a 427 Cobra. It was a replica but it was really fast and really nice. It was sweet we were at the dyno shop with the San Diego Mustang Club where everyone could dyno thier car. After he was done he took it off the dyno and asked me if i wanted a ride. I wonder what I said :D The fastest production car would be my dads 69 Mach 1 428 CJR. Then my car:)

Fastest car I have ever ridden in would probably be mine. Low 5's in the 1/8th will pretty much take your breath away!! I expect it to go mid 4.60-4.90's this year when I spray it!! Maybe faster. But definately a joy ride.

The fastest car that I've ever rode in was my fathers 22' roadster. We were at a light in town that heads out of town and a guy pulled up next to us talking some trash with a Vette. Needless to say when the light changed I felt like someone shot me out of a cannon. He run it up to 8500 and dumped it, and as the street light went over my head the front end was two feet off the ground. I was then looking up at the sky while the car was spinning both tires in a wheelie but tracking to the right. He set it down just as the right tire touched the grass let off for a sec and hit second gear. The front end went to the sky again and this time spinning and going straight. When he got to third he shut it down and waited for the Vette. When we stopped I noticed my arm was burning and I jumped out and wiped off my arm, yes rubber from hanging my arm over the door. No body would leave the light till the smoke cleared, even the Vette. He came by and said he did'nt want any of the **cking thing and that was the fastest car on the street he'd ever seen. I agreed.:D
