Whats your favorite and most useful mod?

Please dont say any power adder like nitrous or S/C.

So far it has been my exhaust. L/T's Pro Chamber, and cat-back - all MAC. It really opened her up. Most people would probably say gears but I haven't got those installed yet.

Not trying to be a smarta$$, but an alarm! My car is basically stock-as-a-rock, but living in California and having my last car stolen, the alarm gives me the peace of mind to go ahead with other mods.

I don't really have any mods yet, but I love the sound of my Borla sidepipes. Gears, 01 heads and intake, under drives, and an H-Pipe are on the list but haven't happened yet.

The converter really lit a fire under my car's *** . I noticed more difference from that than from the gears.

THe very last mod I did was a offroad H-pipe. DAMN did it make a difference. ALmost more than the heads even. Maybe I had a clogged cat or something before, but it added like 50-60hp.

My Tri-ax shifter. I love the way it feels, and don't worry about breaking shift forks any more. Light Em Up!!! http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif

I guess you cant go wrong with the h-pipe http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif, i need one badly, but i would say i like my (electric fan) very useful if you know what i mean.

my pro 5.0 shifter

quikturbo 02-09-2001 05:04 PM

If your talking power, then gears are gonna be the biggest difference!!! by far. then the h-pipe, cause you do loose alittle low end when you take out that bottle neck. the gear will compensate for that though http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif

my favorite was the tfs heads and the tfs intake http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...rd/biggrin.gif

Converting from speed density to mass air. The computer can finally agree with my 3.73's now. It used to ping like a can o' marbles up top with speed density, and now I can do all the mods I want without having to worry about that OR the 'pooter. I guess MAF was the "gateway" to future mods. Now I'll have a ride worthy to street race this summer. http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...rd/biggrin.gif

Nothin better than an h pipe and mean soundin mufflers. There could be a quite 10 second stang sittin next to a stock 5.0 with an exhaust and it will get more respect

I would have to say it is my 3:73 gears. I
love my car in 3rd. It feels like it just
keeps going and going like the energizer
bunny.

------------------
94 Mustang Cobra: off-road h-pipe, 3:73 gears, motersports underdrive pulleys, MAC cold air induction, MAC 1 1/2 inch lowering springs, K&N Air filter, Maximum Motersports caster/camber plates. Soon my steeda tri-ax shifter.
94 Thunderbird SC: only mod is a K&N air filter. But she runs very well and hard.

fastang 02-09-2001 07:12 PM

Im going to have to say gears too but my favorite has to be the Tremec-pro 5.0 combo.

------------------
95GT B303 cam, 1.7 rockers, 65mm TB, 73mm MAF, milled heads, 355's K&N, off road pipes, pulleys, msd coil, 9mm wires, Tremec 3550, Pro5.0 shifter,10.5 Motorsport clutch, weld in subframe connectors

The exhaust system, for sure... the headers, off roads and flowmasters... I just stand behind it when it's idling and LOVE the sound of it!! http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif

Besides heads, I have to say my lower control arms. Huge difference in the way the car preforms both launching and taking a tight turn. Cheap too.
