yeah da-n leo's hey - true or false i bought a 69 chevelle ss 2 door post no carpet -rubber floor cover ,bench seat 396 ,auto on the col ,i thought i got screwed , well an old man hit me in the qtr panel , i was p.o.ed so i sold it for 150.00 ,ten years later i found out they only made 300 or so of this model -aaaahhh.
Did it carry SS tags, or was it a regular Chevelle with a 396? I've never seen an SS with a 3 on the tree auto. Mine was typical 325 hp TH400 center console, etc.
no it was an ss had the hood and th400 i read about it in hot rod mag, about ten years later, what was wierd was the post between the driver & pass side window & the qtr window's:confused:
Must have been a '68 with '69 corners (lights, grille, you know). Had to be. I don't think the Canadian 300's even had a post. Actually, 68's had different fenders. Was the SS fender badge by the door or the bumper?
no it was all 69 the ss was on the fender's with the 396 badge it had 69 tailights & the grill had the bar in the center ,they said they only made 300,or so it wasnt from canada:confused:
 Good job, Bonehead!!!
What were you thinking??? That's wild. i've never heard of them. i'll bet money the doors were '68, and they added a rear post. Did you know that there were aprox. 50 1969 Malibu's sold nationwide with a 425hp 427? They could not legally put them into the SS bodies, so they went into generic looking 350 Malibu bodies. Factory! C-ya. |
bonehead you better type that with a smile on your face mr.;) it wasnt like it was a cougar eliminator, mercury maurader, or shelby, plus i was only 18 then,it was just a used car to me:p :p see ya.:D
