Post Who else does there own work? - Long Rant

Just wondering who else does all the work on their stang or other car? I've noticed here lately that everyone wants to know how much something costs to have installed. Granted I realize that many people dont have the time or place to do alot of the work they have done by someone else. It just seems more gratifing to me when I do the work myself and it comes out right. I have had to redo some things from time to time but have learned what not to do the next time. I guess I just like workin on stuff so thats why I do it, and the cost is usually not worth it to me.

I'm not saying that everyone should do their own work, but I know people that have really nice fast cars that dont know a damn thing about what they have. I have talked to people about cars and all they can say is "Thats what the mechanic suggested I get". I guess I just get angry when all these other people have nice things that momy and daddy bought for them and they didnt deserve or appreciate. I am not asking for a flame war but suppose I'll get one here so I'm sorry in advance just had to let off a little steam.
