who likes the new 350Z
I think it is an awesome looking car. I dont know how fast it is or if it is worth as much as an 03' cobra but I love the new 350Z's styling.
Later, |
I really like the new commercial for it. Looks like it's going to be a cool looking car. We'll have to wait and see if it's performance matches it's tough looks.
Someone here quoted it as a low 14 second car in another thread. E |
the door handles like a sore thumb........
they are ooh-glay.......the rest of the car looks good |
As a long time Nissan kid and fan, I am impressed with the new Z. Been following its return since the rumors started, actually since they killed the old one.
There is a touring model car used at the Lexus deal here. Its an auto, but its used, so I should be able to drive it this weekend. With its gears/HP/weight it should be a 14 second car. I'll let you know how it drives hopefully by Monday. I've seen a half dosen different ones on the road (doesn't hurt to work within 45 minutes of the National Headquarters) but I haven't gotten one to line 'em up with me yet. Maybe I can find a corporate guy soon.;) |
They are already on the road here in Canada... I've seen a handful of them... I'm assuming they are on the road there aswell?
Here are some specs... Horsepower 287 @ 6200 Torque (lb-ft) 274 @ 4800 Apparently you can buy it with a Track Pack that consists of "The Track is the sport trim of the 350Z. Features include Brembo 4-wheel disc brakes, front and rear spoilers and lightweight 6-spoke 18-inch forged alloy wheels" and that is the most expensive package and it goes for $46,500 Canadian. Ohh.. and I think it's one sweet looking vehicle. :D §am. |
Pics anyone?
I have yet to see it. Does anyone have any pics of it? Thanks, Keith
|
|
Thanks Mike
It's not that bad. It kinda reminds me of an Audi TT. My dad is a nissan fanatic, I'll bet it won't be long before he gets one. Take care, Keith
|
heres the door handle....
and depending on the angles..it loks like the lexus roadster, toyota celica, auti tt all in 1...lol http://www.nissanusa.com/m/cma/i/335..._gal_big20.jpg http://www.nissanusa.com/m/cma/i/335..._gal_big01.jpg http://www.nissanusa.com/m/cma/i/335..._gal_big22.jpg btw.... www.nissanusa.com has all sorts of specs and more pics of it... |
I posted a thread on freshalloy.com asking if any of the guys down here wants to hit a track. I'm thinking the turd would lose, I just want to see them run. I'll let y'all know if anyone is interested.

My neighbor has a new 350Z. She (yes, she ) put her order in way back in February. She's had her Z for AT LEAST a month now. It was the first one I saw. Sliver, stick, really nice!! The only downside is that the lady (early 60's) doesn't know how to drive a stick so when she's leaving her house, all I hear is VROOOOOMMMM and then she starts moving hehe ;)

Personally, I love the new 350Z. A friend of mine is looking at getting one, and if he does, I'll let yall know how they drive.
Caymon |
the new 350z is a nice looking car.
it as gone back to it's roots in my opinion. the price came back to a realistic 26k base price with decent performance and low weight. nissan did a great job. |
not to bad but, the door handles & the headlights are half the front fender, lol, i back srv1 i'll take the old one. ;) :D :D :D :p
|
I just read an import mag where they got a 14.0 @101mph with it. Looks like it is as fast as a well driven GT.
I wonder how fast the japaneze version is. |
OH MY!
HMMMMMMM......... I have not seen this thread yet...
Ya'll know i"ve had 2 Z's...totalled one and traded the other for the 6 banger Stang Verte. I have to agree w/ SRV...I'd take that old body style ANY TIME...it looks a little to 'bubbly' for me...IMHO of corse. The door handles DO look funky. The one thing I loved about the Z's was the SLEEKNESS of the body...I think it lost alot of that look and resembles some of the other cars ya'll mentioned.. Not that I would not take it if someone bought me one! ;) But, the older body style if my fave...I"ll have to try to dig up some old pics of my Old Z's.... Im not dogging it out....I'll always love those cars..and it sounds like it will SCOOT! :) I was anxious to see one..had not seen the pics yet..thanks Deuce! :D TNT :) |
I like the new Z car. But I really like the new G35 Coupe from Infinity. This is likely the car I'm buying when I finally finish PT school. 280 bhp isn't too bad, and it outperforms the BMW 330i. Not bad for a luxury sport.

My father bought a silver one 2 weeks ago. The comfort is unmatched and the handling is amazing. You can literally take an offramp above 60 or 70 and not feel the body even flex. Amazing egineering.
The gauge cluster moves as you adjust the steering wheel. You can set the shift light at any RPM you'd like, and the six speed is nice until you try to find 6th, and wind up in 4th repeatedly. Oh, and reverse takes some getting used to.... |
Shift light? Did he get the track model, because I've yet to hear about such a thing.
|
looks like the audi tt, i'd have to pass on this one not something i'd buy IMO of course. but the price is very very resonable which attract alot of people

No, he bought the "touring model." It's not a "shift light" in the traditional sense (a large yellow light mounted above the dash). It is a small orangish-red light located in the middle of the Tach that blinks rapidly when you reach the set RPMs. You can set it anywhere from 3,000 to somewhere around 5,500 (not sure because my father got pissed after I bumped it to 4,000 before there was even 30 miles on here.... :> ) |
