Question Crusing tunes?

Due to a dead tranny, and access to a cd burner, I have been making a lot of cd's while I'm waiting to get the pony back up and running. So I'm interested in what suggestions you guys/ladies like for driving music for around town/racing etc. I already have a good bit of music, (i.e. spybreak {the Matrix lobby scene}, various metal, techno, and hip hop).
Just curious about what tunes other folks like while crusing,

thanks,
Jorge

well lests get started.
Mustang sally (clapton)
Magic Carpet ride (steppin wolf)
The Boss (james brown)
play that funky music (wild cherry)

oh and of course that really cheesy classical tea time music to blow away ricers to and make them feel really bad.
il get the name of it soon. and some more idea's, but i think old classy music like brown and wild cherry cant loose.

Rammstein - Du Haste I never liked this until i drove with it! It is great. The best is if you get the remix with some techno from the Matrix soundtrack.

Metallica is always good - Master of Puppets, For whom the bell tolls etc etc anything before re-load is good imo.

And like always System of a Down.

Notice the metal influences

Later,
Nick

It depends on my mood, but some of my favorites are:
White Zombie-"Black Sunshine" especially, talk about a song written for the Mustang;
Propellerheads "Spybreak"
any Pantera;
Body Count and Ice Ts solo stuff,
Wu Tang "Gravel Pit"
Stray Cats, lots of 80s stuff,
George Thorogood,[sp.]
and of course theres always the classics like The Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, and one of my favs "Hot Rod Lincon" (can't remember who sang that one)

1fastchick, if you could send me the name of the jam session that you talked about I would appreciate it, I'm at shadow_wight@hotmail.com , I've been looking for new techno lately (I'm new to the genre), I dig the darker heavier stuff, I just ran across "Juno Reactor" and am in the process of trying to download a few of their albums. I particularly liked "Rotorblade".

Bowtie, I love the Queen idea, I'll have to remember it, I already have the sone, just not on cd yet, LOL.

6t9, I havent heard "highway star", but I'll have to check it out, and it just occured to me that I left out another rather amusing band I havent listened to a while, any Gwar fans out there? And of course ther is always the incredible Meatloaf. True highway music, just try getting out on the interstate and cranking "Bat out of Hell".

p.s. Another cool late night crusing tune I just ran across was Springsteen's "racing in the streets". Kinda mellow, seems like a good way to roll back home. (Even if it is about a Chevy.)

Jorge, AKA The Kilted Banshee

Personally Mean Street by Van Halen and El Distorto De Melodica by Everclear(one of my favorite bands) turns me into a whole nother person when I'm driving.

I'm with tireburner on AC/DC too... you just can't go wrong.

Well, I like so much different music, depends. This is what makes me drive fast or really enjoy driving. My wide aray:

1. AC/DC- Back in Black, Hells Bells, Money Talks
2. Dispatch- Mission, The General
3. Redman- Time for some action
4. Led Zeplin- Over the hills and far away
5. Outkast- whole first album
6. Paul Simon- Graceland
7. Toots and the Maytals- Pressure drop and Country road
8. Traveling Wilburys- Last night
9. White Snake- Here I Go (a must have from the 80's)
10. Rolling stones- Paint it Black
11. John Fogerty- Rock and rolls girls
12. Garth Brooks- Standing outside the fire
13. Cypress hill- Hits from the bong
14. Wu Tang- all of 36 chambers, Method solo album
15. Strange Folk- Rather go fishing

17. Green day- Nice guys finish last

19. Jimmy Buffett- Another Saturday Night

Some old, some new, I like it all!!!!!
