Default wondering about swapping heads

i heard that if i put heads from a newer mustang, like 99 and up on an older 4.6, it is good for an 80 horse increase, of course using a new intake as well and gaskets...... anyone hear about this and is it a direct bolt on without any extra parts or modifications??

Yes you can swap the heads with a few minor modifications. Try posting this in Modular Madness.

I don't know if it'll be quite 80hp, but it'll be a lot. Also if you plan to use nitrous or a blower, I would reconsider. Due to different piston designs(96-98 had flat tops, 99+ have dished) you will get about 11:1 compression with 99+ heads on a 96-98 motor.
